hello! this is an account inspired by @thisis--ableism , @this-is-accessibility , @this-is-transandrophobia, and similar blogs!
My previous blog was @this-is-poly-phobia
THIS BLOG IS NOT SAFE FOR TMA/TME USERS

You can call me Low Res, or just Low!
Simply, I will point out example of blatant or not-as-blatant polyphobia both in my personal life and from others. This includes all labels under the umbrella of polyamory!
this is not my main account!
What is polyphobia?
(start PT/ What is polyphobia? /End PT)
polyphobia describes the prejudice, discrimination, or fear directed toward polyamorous people and polyamory (or otherwise non-monogamous relationships).
the person behind this account is polyamorous and in a polycule. keep in mind every kind of polyamorous relationship / open relationship is welcomed here. There will be no discrimination.
I use poly and polyam interchangeably. That's not going to change. Asks telling me that are going to be deleted.
pfp is by me!

tags!
(start PT/ tags! /End PT)
#this is polymisia -> for posts talking with submissions/asks or my own experiences talking about discrimination against nonmonogamous people (accidental or not)
#this is not polymisia! -> for posts that are not about discrimination at all. Could be jokes, experiences, or resources.
#polymisia unrelated!!! -> for announcements or disclaimers, usually paired with the previous tag
who can submit an ask? and what is allowed in them?
(start PT/ who can submit an ask? and what is allowed in them? /End PT)
Any experiences about being nonmonogamous are welcome, whether or not it's your experience with being discriminated against or not.
Asks asking my opinion on certain situations/stances are going to be ignored, as that's not the point of this blog and i believe my stances to be irrelevant, as I wish to support all people who want to find a community here. I want everyone to have a safe space.
general asks about queerness or the queer community are welcome!
Some of my stances should be obvious anyway. The important ones are. As my previous account was,
asks about my preferences on things are accepted, and generally replied to publically. If it's about a non general matter, I would prefer to be DM-ed!
(example: asking me if I'm okay being called certain terms will be answered publically. asks inviting me to events are better for DMs)

people saying that all polyam people look "like that"
this is polymisia
I've never been told that myself (I don't post myself online) but usually it's just about any vaguely alternative, not beauty standard aligned person, especially if they're not thin.
My boyfriend's boyfriend doesn't like it when our boyfriend gets interested in other people, like you're dating a poly guy, he's gonna be poly....
this is polyphobia
i think a certain level of jealousy can be present in non monogamy but it's important to 1,not let it affect your relationship and 2, not let it upset you yoo much either. Jealousy is not a bad thing when you can communicate clearly with your partners and yourself
our friend told us that poly relationships never work..
then because i realized that the autism got in the way (im nebularomantic, aka have a hard time telling between platonic and romantic attraction sometimes) of me and my second partner at the time, we broke up, and they acted like that was confirmation...
🌠💜🖤
This is polymisia
I am so sorry this happened to you, and as a fellow nebularomantic, I have to say it's an experience I can closely relate with.
I hope forr you that you'll be able to find partners that love you in whatever way you need, and that you can have a healthy relationship with them.
After all, even monogamous couples break u all the time, it doesn't mean anything when non-monogamous relationships end either
Me and my partners all fantasize about our weddings and all of us, as disabled people, being protected and safe in our marriage but having to remember that poly marriage is illegal and strongly looked down upon when queer in our entire country :(
I love my beloveds and care for their other partners as well and we all deserve sunshine.
this is polymisia
I hope you can have your beautiful marriage someday, and even if your country doesn't allow it, you could make an unofficial ceremony! maybe the law won't see you as partners, but a marriage is a celebration of love, not just a legal contract
