Database Still Going
So we are still working on the database stuff. Going more in depth of how to create a database and how to use all the functions we need to do the project and the hands on portion of the final.
Yes there is a hands on portion of our final where we’ll be doing  the database and excel work. You may all now feel bad for us. Take a moment. Go ahead and feel our pain in this class.

Okay now that you pity us it’s not all that bad. I mean we have another quiz on Friday (yay us) but it should be too bad. I did awesome on last weeks quiz so this should be cake. We are actually reviewing the chapter now in preparation for Friday. We are almost done with this semester. Thank freaking gosh.Â
Software Mysteries
So we learning about the bits and pieces of software today. I learned what PnP meant...It’s plug in player. I suck at acronyms so I really didn’t know what that stood for. We learned about what the control panel was, what it does, why we use it, etc.Â
Side Note - There are many things that are different when it comes to software in PCs compared to Macs. Which means different instructions for different things.
It was a pretty reviewed day basically; preparing for Friday's quiz and the mid-term next week.Â
Time to PIVOT!!!!!
So we learned how to create pivot tables today and it turns out it was really easy. You literally click a cell, go to insert, click pivot table button, assign the columns and rows and boom!Â
Pivot table is created. It’s that easy. We also learned how to make charts with the pivot table too; AND, get this, if you refresh the pivot table it will update for you!Â
BOTH THE PIVOT TABLE AND THE CHART. That’s so freaking cool!Â
Side Note: Just changed the color of my pivot chart columns to a gradient blue merging into a lemon yellow. Also changed the background of my pivot chart to the Hogwarts Crest.Â
#In-class turn up during pivot table making
I think this is my favorite tool I’ve learned about so far.Â
Side Note: There is confusion going on right now in class about flash drives...
I’m not even going to attempt to figure out what’s happening. Working on my pivot table.Â
Excelling in Patience
So today...we learned about one of the most frequent problems I’ve had when using Microsoft Office..EXCEL!!!
Now believe it or not it is much harder to master than using WORD. We got to learn the correct way to browse the page (it is not just using the scroll bar apparently). You actually have key controls to take you to the very last column and very last cell of the sheet.Â
Cool right?
We also had the privilege of learning how to widen and lengthen the cells and columns which is much easier than what I usually do (dragging the column as far as I want to fit the wording.Â
Lastly I got an 8.5/10 on my quiz so heck yes!! I’m learning stuff.Â
