i.in the beggiining. of ethos episode. etho says "can i just say how glad i am you were my partner?" and bdubs responds "thank you so much. im glad you're my partner"
a slow slow death- los campesinos! (continuation of this post)
something about finally reuniting with a husband? friend after being divided for so long
there's just something about bdubs posthumously claiming skizz was their leader, when he never claimed to be and they never treated him like that in life, something about them only realizing once he was gone that he was the only thing keeping them together, keeping them a family, keeping them alive, and bdubs trying to establish himself as the New leader, as the New glue. (to no avail).
there's just something about bdubs killing lizzie with a flower, a wither rose. a poppy (the symbol of love and marriage between the other husbands in 3L. the thing that scott gave jimmy to tell him he still loved him), corrupted by the very wither fight he died in, planted at the foot of the former queen of the fairy fort, where flowers had ordained every square foot. bdubs showing his devotion, his love and his trust for etho in that flower, in that rose, by using it to strike down lizzie. to try to turn the blackened petals red again. (to no avail)
there's just something about skizz dying by rushing into a castle along with his only most loyal ally ren impulse to kill ren impulse, a foolhardy meaningless death just blinded by betrayal and rage, his own brother's betrayal against him and eachother, where he failed to spill any blood but his own. he died for nothing and there was no time or want to mourn him. he stood for so much, and he died for nothing.
there's just something about etho knowing skizz would go to imp, that skizz wasn't alone if impulse was red with him. his real brother, his real other half, etho understood that much. they'd said nothing but a word to eachother, but as soon as his family had turned his back on him, he knew that impulse was someone he could always put his trust in, no matter the world, no matter the game. (cause that worked out so well last season, right? cause that'll work out so well now. surely impulse won't just shrug and move on when skizz dies fighting alongside him. all skizz wants is to die fighting alongside his brothers. alongside the people he loves.) (to no avail).
there's just something about skizz telling etho he wants to give him a "Warrior's Death". (to no avail)
there's just something about skizz referring to him and mumbo as an "dangerous two man army". an army. (to no avail)
the minute skizz died he went to his friends. he went to his brothers. he tried to get them to look at him, notice him, (they sure hadn't noticed when he had died the last two times. they sure hadn't cared), he cheered on their destruction and their triumphs and their love. even in death, he only cared about his brother's survival. (to no avail).
