As we see a migration from twitter (hello yes I'm back, sorta), I figure I should introduce myself again and pin my stuff! Especially because some of my interests have changed, I run a business now, and more!
Hi, I'm Ivy (previously Twix, and also Britt)! I'm a librarian, graduate student, writer, and crafter. I do a lot of embroidery and love ttrpgs (even though I'm bad at math). I write a lot and was really active in the Supernatural fandom for a looooong time (but not so much anymore).

Author’s Note: This was written for @thinkwritexpress-official College Writing Challenge.
Britt assigned me two prompts for this Sabriel fic.
Being a nude model for art students/classes because you need the money and its’a good way to learn to love my body.
“I’m a fucking theater major! Of course I’m dramatic!”
Please go send Britt some love for hosting this awesome challenge, and if you don't know her or her writing please check out her work, she's amazingly talented!
So @thinkwritexpress-official and I's text conversations are literally just filled with us saying "AHHHH." Which is a very accurate representation of our friendship 😂😂😂
dang it this one is hard for some reason. Curses! haha
it’s one day away from your wedding with Barry and suddenly things start to go wrong and Barry has to rush around trying to fix the problems and be the flash at the same time.
Send me a made-up fic title & I’ll tell you what I would write to go with it.
A/N: This may or may not become a 2+ parter if I can think of where I want it to go >.< Written for @thinkwritexpress ‘s College AU challenge.
(Also this is my 1500th post - yay me!)
This was it. You sat in the front seat of your dad’s car looking up and the huge campus building that would be your home for the next year. You had never been away from home before; hell, you’d never been far from your small town before, but here you were, about to start on this crazy journey. Your parents were as excited as you were and you were pretty damn excited and soon they were helping you unload the car, each of you holding a box to take to your room.
The entire building was buzzing with people, lost parents and their kids trying to find their room. Finding your corridor you headed in search of your door, your mum and dad following you. The doors of some people who had already arrived were wedged open and you could see your new neighbours busying around their rooms. While looking for the number on the piece of paper the helper gave you this morning, you found yourself looking straight into the room of a tall, broad shouldered guy. He was moving boxes of books from the floor to his desk, and as he spun round to check he has them all, he saw you. Smiling, you look down, not realising you’ve stopped walking until you feel your dad’s box hit your back as he didn’t notice you’d stopped either.
“Hi,” he grins at you, his green eyes glinting and you look back up at him.
“Hi,” your voice stays level and you start moving again before you make a fool of yourself in front of your parents.
You come to another stop in front of the next door. Great. Pushing your key into the lock, you open the door, butterflies filling your stomach as the enormity of moving away for university hits you. You all pile in, setting the boxes down before stopping to take a look around the small room.
“I guess this is it,” you couldn’t keep the excitement from your face as you looked out of the window at the campus below.
“We’ll go get the rest of the stuff out of the car while you start unpacking,” your mum said, so that’s what you did. Deciding this would be a much easier task if you had some music, you dug out your laptop, setting it up and letting the sound fill the room.
“Do you mind turning that up a bit?”
You spun round to see the boy next door leaning against your doorframe.
“Up?” you questioned, confused. You thought people normally complained about music being too loud.
“Yeah, I can only barely hear it next door and it sounds decent,” he gestured, “and there’s no-one on your other side to upset.” He pointed at the opposite wall.
“Sounds decent? You don’t know who this is?” you looked back over your shoulder as you moved towards your laptop.
“Nah, I kind of listen to the same 5 albums over and over again.” You shook your head, chuckling as you raised the volume before moving back towards the doorframe.
“Well-“
“Dean.”
“Well, Dean, make this number 6 because its great.”
With that your parents appeared behind him, your mother’s eyebrows raised as she looked between you both. Your dad cleared his throat.
“Oh! Dad, this is Dean, Dean, my dad.”
“I’m gonna get back to sorting my stuff out, it was nice to meet you all, I’m sure I’ll see you around.”
When you turned back to your parents, your mum was looking at you with a wide grin on her face.
“He seems nice!”
“Shhhh! These walls are thin and I just met him.”
“I’m just saying, people seem nice here that’s all,” she shrugged her shoulders a smirk playing on her lips. She knew you too well.
The text came through at 8pm saying they were back at home and making sure you were OK. You messaged back assuring them you were fine and that’s when it hit you. The night was starting to come down and you were 5 hours away from home. You knew no-one. You’d be this far away for the whole semester and classes started tomorrow. You didn’t know where to go. You didn’t know what to do. You sat on the edge of your bed, your room perfectly organised and unpacked, your door closed against the now silent corridor and burst into tears. You missed your parents; you missed your entire family; you even missed people you hadn’t seen for 6 years and you didn’t see how you could do this without them.
You didn’t know how long you were crying before you were startled from your sobs by a soft knock at your door. You cracked it open to see Dean standing there holding two big slices of cake.
“Um… you want some cake?” he held one of the plates out to you and you opened the door wider, inviting him in.
“You sounded like you could use some cake,” he smiled at you as he followed you into your room.
“Oh God, you could hear that? I’m so sorry,” you buried your face in your hands as you sat on the edge of your bed.
“Don’t worry about it, I just wanted to make sure you were okay.” He picked up a big chunk of cake on his fork, smiling as he chewed and you couldn’t help but smile back.
“Jesus, this is really good,” you relaxed against the wall of your room, stretching your legs across your bed as you ate another mouthful. “Where’d you get it?”
“My Aunt Jodie made it. She wrapped a couple of slices up for me so I wouldn’t miss her home cooking too much.”
“What a woman,” you nodded.
“Yeah she’s pretty great.” You couldn’t help but smile at how fondly he spoke of her.
“So when did you arrive?” you asked, finding yourself unusually comfortable talking to this relative stranger.
“This morning, not long before you actually,” he replied, scraping the remaining crumbs from his plate before setting it down on your desk. “I had to get in early to pick the best spot for Baby,” he winked at you before looking out of your window. You followed his gaze along the row of cars to a beautiful black classic car.
“That’s not your car,” you laughed in disbelief.
“Wanna bet?” he shot back and your eyes widened.
“Where did you get it?”
“First of all, it’s her not it,” he interjected.
“Sorry, where did you get her.” You rolled your eyes.
“My dad gave her to me, he always said he would when I turned 18 but it turned out to be a little sooner than that… Anyway so yeah, I loaded her up and brought her up here. Where I go she goes.”
“Wow,” was all you could say in response. You wanted to ask more about his dad, but you had a strange feeling this wouldn’t be the last time you’d be talking to Dean and that could wait.
You spent the rest of the evening talking about what you would be studying, what clubs you were interested in trying out and where you came from. Soon the clock on your desk said midnight.
“Shit, I better go get some sleep, I have a class at 9am tomorrow. You can trust the Engineers to need to be up at the crack of dawn on the first day.” He mumbled, looking disappointed to have to leave.
“Yeah me too, my department wants us to all do icebreakers and ‘get to know each other’,” you shuddered overdramatically and laughed as Dean chuckled back.
Shuffling off the end of your bed, you stood up as Dean moved to leave.
“Hey Dean?” Colour was creeping to your cheeks as you looked up at him, his eyes looking deep into yours. “Thanks for cheering me up.”
“No problem, -“ he paused for a second, frowning. “Ok please tell me your name. I’ve been trying to work out whether you told me it or not.”
“I didn’t tell you it,” you grinned.
“Oh thank god. I’ve been sat here feeling like the biggest ass for forgetting your name. Now I find out I am the biggest ass for not even asking for it…”
You couldn’t believe this was happening. Night one away from home and you meet Dean who was quite easily the kindest, sweetest, most gorgeous man you’d ever met.
“It’s Y/N,” you half blurted out while he was ranting about how much of an ass he was. “And you’re not an ass.”
“I beg to differ,” a smile danced across his lips. He opened your door to leave before turning back towards you.
“If you ever need anything, knock on my door. Seriously. Don’t cry in here on your own. I can’t make a cake like Aunt Jodie but I’ll work something out.”
“Thanks Dean. You too.” You held your door as you watched him walk the couple of steps to his own door.
“Goodnight Y/N.”
“Goodnight Dean.”
Let me know what you think! I may or may not have a couple ideas for a Part 2?
