Carpenter Brut? Sir, would you happen to also be a fan of Hotline Miami? Because I only know the name due to their music being present in HLM2.

I loooooved Hotline Miami. As a piece of style, it’s unparalleled, and in terms of artistic merit and thematic meaning, it’s a great piece of video game culture. I haven’t gotten 2 yet at all, mostly because of money but also because all I’ve heard doesn’t sound like the kind of Hotline Miami I really want (more focus on their insane “mythos” isn’t what I want, that’s not what made the story in the first game work at all) but I did go through the soundtrack and god damn it’s as incredible as the first one.

1. Do you ever doubt the existence of others than you? No, I’m pretty definitely sure everyone else exists. Sometimes I feel like I exist out of sync with the rest of the universe though.

3. The person you would never want to meet? That’s a really weird question to ask with no context. I’d like to not meet myself from a darker, parallel present.

5. If you were a type of tree, what would you be? There was a big’ol birch tree that used to be in my front yard that was always special to me.

7. What shirt are you wearing? A Stars shirt I got at a show two (!) years ago and my orange NEWTS OC hoodie.

9. Bright room or dark room? Dark room.

11. Favorite age you’ve been so far? 22′s been pretty great.

13. Your worst enemy? Definitely myself.

15. Do you like someone? ‘Course I do. I like lots of people. I like a smaller set of people. And yes, I like someone. I think.

25. You just found $100! How are you going to spend it? Probably go drinking with my friends.

Even if you don’t drink booze there’s something you can figure out… so what’s it gonna be? Smirnoff vodka. It’s not a drink, it’s a resource, and it gets several varied jobs done.

29. What is your favorite expletive? I get a lot of mileage out of “goddamn”

31. You can erase any horrible experience from your past. What will it be? No. I wouldn’t do that. Too easy. Too many loose ends.

33. The Celestial Gates Of Beyond have opened, much to your surprise because you didn’t think such a thing existed. Death appears. As it turns out, Death is actually a pretty cool entity, and happens to be in a fantastic mood. Death offers to return the friend/family-member/person/etc. of your choice to the living world. Who will you bring back? One of my grandmothers. But I’d have to spend a long time thinking about that.

35. Are you a good….[insert anything you’d like here]? I’m a good listener. I take direction well. Discretion is my middle name.

37. Have you ever built a snowman? Oh yeah.

39. What type of music do you like? Indie/alternative rock. I listen to a lot of Canadian bands. I also like house/EDM.

41. What is your favorite milkshake flavor? Chocolate’s a go-to.

43. Do you have any scars? Currently, no. There’s the barest trace of a scar on my finger from where I burnt myself on the oven rack a few months ago.

45. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wish I believed in myself as much as some of the people around me do.

53. What has been you worst haircut/style? I got a really bad haircut at First Choice or someplace similar when I was ~14. I spent the next two and a half years letting my hair grow out.

55. Can you do any accents other than your own? Quite a few!

59. Do you sing in the shower? Or do anything unusual in the shower? I sing in the shower all the time.

61. Do you often read your horoscope? Yes. I don’t take astrology as gospel by any means, but it’s comforting sometimes to have some kind of angle on the things we can’t quite explain.
