For the fanfiction word meme:
indeed, opened, crush, right.
Hey, thanks for asking, and here we go! The first is from a future chapter of 'A Smuggler's Virtue,' the Hellcheer regency era AU I'm currently writing
The velvet sky above was pinpricked by a hundred million stars, stretching out into infinity. Christine rested her head against his shoulder and sighed in absolute contentment. She found herself used to the gentle sway of the boat, and indeed wondered how she had ever fully relaxed without it.
This is from the next chapter of 'The Colour of Heartbreak,' the Everlark/Jonathan Strange crossover fic that I absolutely promise I will return to one day! And this one is from 'A Rebel's Wings' - the sequel to 'Nos Mortituri Te Salutamus' - my Caryl/Hunger Games AU. This one actually just needs editing, and I can probably start putting it up very soon!
“I do. And there’s somethin’ else, too,” he began, and his mouth went dry as his heart raced painfully fast. “And I’ve been wantin’ to say this for a long time now. Just...never felt right. But if I don’t, I’ll be waitin’ forever…”
