Folks - I really need some help. Bills have *massively* stacked up over Christmas, my husband hasn't been able to work as much due to his chemotherapy, and as a carer to our son, I only get carer's allowance.
But... I do have some art ready to sell, if anyone is interested. Everything is hand-drawn on either Pastelmat or Grafix Drafting Film, and I only use lightfast pencils, such as Polychromos, Luminance, Pablos, and Derwent Lightfast, meaning they'll maintain their vibrancy for years.
Bumblebee - ÂŁ55, Unicorn - ÂŁ45
Rick Grimes eyes - ÂŁ30, Carol Peletier eyes - ÂŁ30. SOLD
Highland cow 1 - ÂŁ85 SOLD, Highland cow 2 - ÂŁ40
Inhun chair embrace - ÂŁ65 SOLD Inhun christmas - ÂŁ75 SOLD
Postage and packing to the uk is ÂŁ8. I can ship elsewhere, but obviously I'll have to check costs before quoting.
If you can please reblog to spread the word, it'll mean the world to me.

I'm losing my mind. Trying to get my son to sleep, and he's just been saying "why not why not why not" without pause, on repeat, for about 45 minutes. I genuinely might have gone insane
For a long moment In-ho couldnât move, couldnât even think. He hovered above the scene, dizzy with the power his husbandâs submission gave him. Then he curled his fingers into Gi-hunâs hair, could feel the spring and heat of it against his palm, and let the seconds sprawl between them. Gi-hun looked up, gaze locked and unblinking.
Sense - Redempton
Someone spoke to him. A nurse, maybe. He answered when prompted, his voice distant and flat, words leaving his mouth without any sense of ownership
Singe - nothing here I'm afraid, but I'm sure at some point there will be the smell of singed flesh, either in Lingchi, somewhere in Hell, or in the zombie AU ;)
Silence - Lingchi
He leans heavily against the wall, sliding down it, hands over his ears until the track, mercifully, stops. He is almost fearful to let go, and when he does the silence seems to ring. His breath shallow and panicked, he waits for whatever torment is coming, but nothing happens. No one enters his room. No beatings. No cuts or shocks or anything to cause him pain. Just the total depletion of energy.Â
I feel really bad here, none of them appear (yet) but I'm certain combust, corrupt, and corrosion will at some point - probably both in the Dantes Inferno AU I've got in my WIP folder.
Corrupt does *technically* appear in one of the documents but its not actually part of the fic, just part of the notes/synopsis ideas I've made for it which is this in the 'kill that fucking dove' otherwise unnamed fic I've got
Myung-giâs uncle runs the betting shop that Gi-hun wins big atâhe sends the gang to get the money back any way they can, and his criminal connections also give him connections within the corrupt police force, hence how they get off scott-free
6. what's your go-to recipe when you want to make something that requires minimal effort?
Usually it'll be something like air fried tofu with noodles and some kind of spicy sauce - usually a mixture of hoisin, soy, peanut butter, and chilli oil :)
14. what's a hobby you'd like to get into?
Oooh, I've always loved what people can create through crochet - I'd love to give it a go one day!
23. what's the coolest place you've visited?
Oh crikey, I'm not sure my definition of 'cool' fits anyone elses. I think Pompeii is one of my favourite places I've ever been to, it was so completely fascinating, terrifying, and heartbreaking. Again, I'm not sure if 'cool' is the right descriptor, but it really has stayed with me for years

5] what's your favourite piece of furniture and where did you get it?
15] do you collect anything?
26] do you make a list before going to the grocery store or just wing it?
27] what's your favourite household chore?
29] do you have houseplants and how are you at keeping them alive?
Thank you for these! (And I *promise* I'm getting round to doing all the fic asks in a minute too!)
1] what's your favourite kitchen appliance?
This is a bit like asking who your favourite child is, but overall its probably my instant pot. I use it most days to cook rice, and occasionally to make yoghurt, or as a slow cooker, or as a quick way of doing dried beans. Its such a great appliance!
5] what's your favourite piece of furniture and where did you get it?
Our tv stand! We'd been looking for a tv stand for absolutely ages, and there's a British Heart Foundation charity shop in town that specialises in second hand furniture. We kept going in there on the off-chance they'd have what we wanted, and one day - there it was. Exactly the right height, length, with shelves for all our gaming systems, draws, and the price? It had been reduced from ÂŁ80 to twenty quid because one of the drawers wouldn't shut properly. My husband's dad is a handyman, and we thought ÂŁ20? Bargain, he'll be able to fix it, and even if he can't its too much of a bargain to pass up. So we got it home, and realised that the only reason the drawer was stuck was because a roll of sellotape had fallen behind it. So we got our perfect tv stand AND a free roll of tape for ÂŁ20!
15] do you collect anything?
Coloured pencils. I have sooooo many!
26] do you make a list before going to the grocery store or just wing it?
I keep a grocery list in the kitchen which I add to whenever anything runs out, and which I absolutely invariably forget literally every time I go shopping. So... both?
27] what's your favourite household chore?
Do people have favourites? Ummm... does cooking count? Because if so, cooking. Or maybe weeding the garden?
29] do you have houseplants and how are you at keeping them alive?
We've had one peace lily for about 15 years, and he's thriving. His name is Gee-offrey (with a hard 'G') and literally a week ago we repotted him and thought we'd like some more. So we have since bought him two new friends - another peace lily named Gee-orge, and a whatever this is
For someone who these days is basically an incredibly boring hermit, I've lived a really fucking wild life. It only just occured to me as I was chatting to one of the mums outside school just now while waiting for the RAC to come and rescue me, but fuck me.
In my class at Primary school was a lad called Phil Davies. I went to his house many times for birthday parties, playdates etc. Hung out with his older brother Daniel. Who later became known as Dani. Lead singer of Cradle of Filth.
In high school I joined a swing band, and we went on a really big tour of Europe when I was just 16.
After university I somehow fell into Scare acting and did it full time for 12 years at various places - mostly Tussauds. During that time I met multiple celebrities (doing a photo shoot with Maisie Williams was fun, and cheekily smoking a spliff with Danny Dyer in the middle of a shift in Hellgate in Thorpe Park was an experience.) I made Mark Strong scream, I made Teller talk (!) I made Noel Fielding giggle. I MET STEPHEN HAWKING FFS!!!! (Not in the scare part of Tussauds - he was there as a guest and I was in the World Stage area, not far from where his waxwork was, doing a talk about Madame Tussaud when he came through and AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!)
During my first few months at Tussauds, we realised we had a bassist (me) two singer song writers, a lead guitarist, a keyboard player, and a drummer in the cast, so naturally we formed a band. A year or so later, we (somehow) had a number one in the HMV rock download chart. I'll never forget seeing Avenged Sevenfold at number 3, The Beegees at 2, and Dusty Muzzle (yup, that's what we'd called ourselves!) at 1. We made the grand total of ÂŁ26 from that number 1, it was in the *very* early days of download charts, so hardly the most incredible achievement, but an achievement none the less!
That same year, Dusty Muzzle supported 60s band Manfred Mann at a gig.
A later band of mine, Penny for the Workhouse, supported PP Arnold, we supported Steve Craddock from Ocean Colour Scene, we supported Scouting for Girls. Paul Weller wrote a blurb for our first EP praising it.
As well as scare acting and music, I've been a children's entertainer, a story teller, a Shakespearean actor (and tumblr would probably be very proud to know my crowning moment was playing Brutus in a gender swapped version of Julius Caesar) I've done panto, and played the dame, a role that, for my friends outside the UK, is traditionally only ever played by a man, putting on my very best Les Dawson voice to do so. My favourite moment was asking the audience where my son, Aladdin, was, and this little kid shouting "she's over there!" (Again the lead boy is usually played by a girl) I was like "She ? She? That's my son you're talking about, next thing you'll be saying is I'm just a bloke in a dress!" I did the Les Dawson boob lift, and all the adults in the audience went nuts with laughter. I remember thinking "they all genuinely think I'm a bloke in a dress." To this day I'm choosing to take it as a compliment to my character skills, and nothing more đ¤Łđ
And now I spend my days doing not much more than changing nappies and writing fanfic.
My past feels like it belongs to someone else entirely.
For just over a decade, I was a scare actor. Not just at Halloween, either. I worked at an attraction called Death Trap which was on London's South Bank, I had a brief stint at the London Tombs, and I worked at Madame Tussauds (Tussauds wasn't just scare acting, but it was mainly working in Chamber Live, then later when it was renamed Scream)
The absolute best memories I ever have of Scare Acting though were Halloween 2014, when I was on the roaming team at Thorpe Park. I can't begin to explain how good that year was, and how much we fucked up roaming for every roaming team that followed us - because we received SO MANY complaints for being too scary đ Yup. You heard. We were hired to scare the public and were TOO GOOD at it. When we started that job, we were told we had absolute free rein to go literally anywhere. Then as the 4 weeks went on, we kept getting told we'd been banned from this area, then that area, then that one and that one and that one etc. And every year since, the roamers have to follow a specific path that appears on the maps, so the public can be aware that roaming scarers are around, and they can avoid that particular path if they want.
This is a little photoshoot we did with Maisie Williams that year. That's me leaning over her shoulder :)
7. are you married or do you intend to get married?
I am indeed married! I married my husband in 2013, but we've been together since 2005
11. do you vote?
Hell yes. I haven't missed a vote since I became old enough to vote in 2000. It's so important!
18. have you ever changed fields in your career or education?
I owned my own baking business for a while, and of course am now trying to earn money from art, so...I guess so, yeah!
30. what's your living arrangement? (who do you live with, in what kind of building, do you own or rent or other?)
I live with my husband and son in a two bedroom maisonette that we own. I love it here <3
If you can, Iâd love to hear more about your Inhun amnesia AU!
Was glad to see this request for this AU! Probably the least developed of the AUs in my mind so far, but it's such a juicy concept, I love it! Decided to write this scene to share. So sorry, Woo-seok, baby, that you have to deal with In-ho's manipulative ass. Round of applause for In-ho's acting skills, I guess. đ
...
Gi-hun's head felt like it was splitting open.
Not only was it bad enough having to be wheeled out of the hospital by his supposed friend-turned-stranger, but then he also had to deal with his loan shark's âwell, former loan shark, apparentlyâ right hand man breathing down his neck. When the hospital staff wouldn't allow him access to Gi-hun due to privacy policies, Choi Woo-seok staked out the place until Gi-hun finally got discharged, only to be frustrated when he was greeted with skepticism.
However, his whole story about the recruiter, the games, and Gi-hun's winnings, it all sounded soâ
"Ridiculous."
And then there was the matter of Young-il. He didn't hesitate to make his distaste known. Sticking close to Gi-hun, his glare didn't once falter the entire time Woo-seok followed alongside them.
If looks could kill.
"I'm telling the truth!" Woo-seok shouted. Gi-hun winced, sinking lower in place when several heads turned their way.
Young-il didn't even spare him so much as a sideways glance, putting the wheelchair's brakes into place as he positioned Gi-hun next to a car that probably cost more than a whole year's worth of his wages as a chauffeur.
"Ah, yes, the 'truth' about some killer kids games." Young-il scoffed, shaking his head at him. "Give me a break."
"Excuse me," Woo-seok fumed, "but who are you again?"
"Gi-hun's friend. Clearly, the same can't be said about you." Opening the door, Young-il turned to Gi-hun, the chill in his gaze melting away at the sight of him. Gi-hun's head spun as he braced himself for the inevitable. "Ready?"
"No," but Gi-hun ignored the screaming ache in his muscles. Shifting towards the edge of the chair, he gritted his teeth through the pain that radiated along his left side while Young-il wrapped an arm around his shoulders.
Although, at the last second, he did something unexpected.
He hooked his other arm underneath Gi-hun's knees. With a grunt, he lifted him up, setting him into the passenger seat with all of the care in the world. Such a kind gesture saved Gi-hun the pain of having to bear weight on his injured leg, but there was no way of avoiding how his bruised ribs protested at even the slightest bit of movement.
Gi-hun hadn't realized he was holding his breath until the edges of his vision started to close in. Young-il cupped his cheek, and their eyes locked.
"Breathe," he instructed, and Gi-hun listened without question. Slow, shaky. But it got the job done. Clarity returned to him, slowly but surely.
Woo-seok's gaze darted between the two of them.
"Funny," he said, addressing Young-il again, "in all the time I've worked with Mr. Seong, I don't remember him ever mentioning you."
"Funny," Young-il replied, "because I don't remember asking." He brushed Gi-hun's hair back from his face, beads of sweat gathered at Gi-hun's temple. Something about his tone turned pointed, sharp like a blade, all while the two of them continued to stare deep into each other's eyes. "Last we spoke, he was supposed to be getting on a plane to the States, but that didn't happen."
That was news to Gi-hun. "Wait. Why was Iâ"
"Later," Young-il promised, patting his hand. "We have a lot to discuss, but the doctors were adamant we try to reintroduce the past slowly. Otherwise, we might do more harm than good." That being said, he stepped away to go store the wheelchair in the trunk. "I believe our conversation is done here, Mr. Choi."
"Like hell it is."
The force with which Young-il slammed the trunk closed sent a tremor through the car.
"It's not up for debate." In the blink of an eye, Young-il was standing between the two of them again, his arms crossed over his chest as he faced Woo-seok. "Gi-hun has paid off his debts, so I'm not going to simply sit by while a bunch of lowlifes try to squeeze every single won out of him that they possibly can."
Woo-seok scowled.
"Should I remind you that Gi-hun approached us with this job?"
"According to you, but this all ends now," Young-il stated, not taking 'no' for an answer. "Go take advantage of some other poor soul. You've already done enough damage here."
"Hey, screw you, man! This doesn't involve yâ"
"Enough." Gi-hun spoke with a level of authority that surprised even himself. "Look. Woo-seok, right?" Gi-hun peered around Young-il to meet his eyes. "Whatever I might have promised you in the past, I'm sorry, but I'm not that same guy right now. I can't be." Frustration simmered in his voice, Gi-hun talking faster with each passing second, each word louder than the one before it. Until, finally, it all boiled over. "I mean, I can barely even walk on my own at this point, let alone try to take down some evil organization. Everything hurts, nothing makes sense, and I just want to go home and fucking rest! Okay?!"
Where even was "home" at this point?
So many pieces of the puzzle were still missing, the empty gaps in his memory like a bleeding, aching wound all in their own right.
At a loss, Woo-seok faltered, shifting in place from foot to foot. Whatever he must have expected out of Gi-hun, it clearly wasn't this resistance to rejoin the crusade to stop these "games" âand by extension, avenge his boss. Gi-hun's heart went out for him, it did, but it was hard to disagree with Young-il when everything about this sounded so absurd. Who's to say that, whatever state they found Gi-hun in, Mr. Kim and his crew weren't just taking advantage of him again?
Self-preservation won out. It nothing else, Gi-hun had to protect himself, and out of the two, only Young-il seemed concerned about his well-being.
One could see the exact moment realization struck Woo-seok. His expression darkened, hands clenched into fists at his sides.
"The boss should have never gotten tangled up in all your shit," Woo-seok spat, and Gi-hun's throat tightened in response. "If he hadn't, then he wouldâhe'd beâ"
Gi-hun didn't need to see Young-il's face to know that he didn't want to be on the receiving end of his glare. When he took a step forward, Woo-seok instantly stumbled a step back.
"Let me make myself clear about one thing," Young-il warned. His voice dropped low into a quiet, contained anger, sharpened into a steel edge that threatened to cut him to ribbons at the slightest misstep. "If I see you or your pack of mutts come anywhere near him again âand trust me, I will knowâ then what I'll do to you will have you begging for the mercy of a quick death." He paused, letting that sink in. "Got it?"
Woo-seok grumbled, "Whatever, man," and stormed off in a huff.
Perhaps the ease that Young-il threatened Woo-seok with should have set off some alarm bells in Gi-hun's mind. Instead, something about the exchange made heat pool low in his belly.
Once Woo-seok was out of sight, Gi-hun watched in silence as Young-il closed the passenger door, then crossed over in order to take his place in the driver's seat at Gi-hun's side.
In the confined space, the air felt thick with tension, a warm prickle spreading along Gi-hun's skin.
"That wasâŚ" At least if asked, Gi-hun could blame his sudden breathlessness on his ribs. "Intense."
Glancing over at Gi-hun with an almost knowing look, Young-il snorted. "I've worked security before. I know Mr. Choi's type all too well. I didn't want to resort to threats, but it was becoming obvious that it was the only thing he would respond to. Besidesâ" Young-il tossed a playful wink his way. "âit will take a lot more than the likes of him to intimidate me."
Swallowing thickly, Gi-hun did his best to ignore the flush of heat rising in his face.
"Well," Gi-hun whispered, tugging at his shirt sleeve, "thank you."
"For what?"
"For looking out for me." Even with the memories he still possessed, Gi-hun couldn't recall the last time, if ever, anyone went to such lengths to keep him safe.
Young-il beamed at him, and Gi-hun felt blinded by his radiance.

see, you see all your nasty thoughts as they pass by. you feel all those mean impulses; you catch every terrible thing you think about a friend, you have to watch yourself procrastinate on important stuff and be lazy when you feel like you should be working. you get front-row seats to all the awfulness that comes with being a person. and you only get that view of yourself, not of anyone else. so naturally, since you canât see all the internal flaws in everyone else, it seems like they donât have themâbut you do.Â
the secret is that everyone has those flaws.Â
if being a good person is something you strive forâif you keep those nasty thoughts inside your head instead of directing them at other people, if you support your friends instead of pushing them down, if you try your best at what you doâthen i promise you, youâre a good person. and even if you fail at that stuff sometimes, all it takes to be a good person is to keep trying.Â
thereâs nothing any more bad about you than there is about loads of other people.Â
ask your friends if youâre a good personâwhen it comes to things like this, they probably see you more clearly than you do yourself. trust them. if they say âyes, of courseâ then youâll know you donât have to worry. if they say no, you can ask them why, and then strive to change those things about yourself.
just remember that if it seems like everyone else is a better person than you, itâs only because you canât see whatâs happening inside them. trust meâeveryone struggles to do the right thing sometimes. even steve. Â
youâre a good person. even if you donât feel like it.Â
