Folks - I really need some help. Bills have *massively* stacked up over Christmas, my husband hasn't been able to work as much due to his chemotherapy, and as a carer to our son, I only get carer's allowance.
But... I do have some art ready to sell, if anyone is interested. Everything is hand-drawn on either Pastelmat or Grafix Drafting Film, and I only use lightfast pencils, such as Polychromos, Luminance, Pablos, and Derwent Lightfast, meaning they'll maintain their vibrancy for years.
Bumblebee - £55, Unicorn - £45
Rick Grimes eyes - £30, Carol Peletier eyes - £30. SOLD
Highland cow 1 - £85 SOLD, Highland cow 2 - £40
Inhun chair embrace - £65 SOLD Inhun christmas - £75 SOLD
Postage and packing to the uk is £8. I can ship elsewhere, but obviously I'll have to check costs before quoting.
If you can please reblog to spread the word, it'll mean the world to me.

Ok so... you know what's coming. I'm gonna need an In-ho pov of the reverse vegas au too please 𤣠(no hurry, I'm happy to wait for whenever!)
Took a break from IAD WIP to write this because I needed the laugh. This is set after Vegas Gi-hun knows the truth. Gi-hun, stay strong! Don't let the power of horny sway you. š
"You need to stop staring at me like that."
In-ho blinked at him in confusion.
"Like what?"
"Likeā" Gi-hun waved his hands at him wildly. "āthat! You're sitting here, watching me stuff my face full of food, looking at me like I have all of the answers to life."
In-ho set his jaw. "I am not."
"You definitely are," Gi-hun scoffed, his cheeks resembling a chipmunk's more and more by the minute. "I thought we already made it clear that you can't lie to me, Hwang In-ho, but I guess you just can't help yourself in this universe, now can you?"
"As if your In-ho hasn't told worse lies to you before," he huffed.
He should've seen it coming, yet the kick to his shin still blindsided him. Pain shot throughout his leg, and he jolted on impact, swearing when he banged his knee against the underside of the table as well.
Of course, their waitress returned at that exact moment, her eyes wide.
"Are you okay, sir?!"
"Oh, he's fine. Don't mind him!" Gi-hun chimed in with a sunny smile after swallowing past his food. "He's always so clumsy. You should see him at home." Patting him on the hand, Gi-hun raised a brow at him. "Isn't that right, jagiya?"
"Uh-huh." In-ho gritted his teeth, massaging his knee with his free hand. "Clumsy me."
The waitress glanced between them, then gave a nervous chuckle.
"Well, if you don't need anything elseā¦" She trailed off, uncertain.
"We'll actually take the check now," Gi-hun said, staring pointedly at In-ho.
Sighing, he nodded in agreement, and the waitress didn't waste any time escaping.
As soon as she was out of earshot, Gi-hun laid into him.
"Lying to me about being in the killer kids games at all is not quite the same as assuming a fake identity in order to get close to me, lying about leading the killer kids games on top of everything else, and then killing my best friend!" Gi-hun whisper-shrieked. "Don't you think?!"
And because In-ho was apparently a glutton for punishment, he pouted at Gi-hun.
"I thought you said I was your best friend." That earned him a pinch on the hand. "Ow!"
"I could just strangle you!"
"By all means," In-ho challenged, "do it then."
"No, I take it back. You sound way too excited." Shaking his head, Gi-hun rolled his eyes with an almost fond quirk to his lips. "I should have known."
Wait. What?
"What's that supposed to mean?" he sputtered.
"Heh, don't act coy." Gi-hun snorted. "If you're anything like the In-ho I know, then you've been known to get more than a little excited when I hurt you."
In spite of himself, heat rushed to In-ho's face, but of course there was no hiding it from the man across from him.
Taking a sip of his drink, he hummed in delight. "Actually, now that I think about it, I hope that my In-ho manages to somehow win your Gi-hun over while we sort all this out. I know from experience that he would show him a good time."
It was almost unnerving how quickly Gi-hun picked apart his reactions at times. A single glance at his face was seemingly all he needed in order to know what he was thinking. No matter how hard In-ho tried to conceal his emotions behind a neutral expression, Gi-hun dug them out to the surface with a brutal efficiency.
"Jealous?" he taunted, resting his chin in his hands. "And of yourself, no less? How adorable."
In-ho smirked. "'How pathetic,' you mean."
Gi-hun shrugged.
"Your words, not mine. Point being is that you don't have to worry. He'll take very good care of him, I'm sure."
He wanted to dangle that possibility over In-ho? Fine.
Two can play at that game.
With Gi-hun's long legs stretched out underneath the table, In-ho didn't have to move far.
Gi-hun's eyes widened when he felt In-ho press his ankle against his, slowly teasing his foot up and down along his calf while he spoke.
"And who will take care of you in the meantime?"
In-ho leaned in, his head cocked to the side. Because to this Gi-hun, In-ho's reality was but a far, distant dream. He was untouched by the games and will continue to be. So much of his struggles were all but wiped away by In-ho's support and his winnings, and that colored his perspective. It made him more impulsive, more like the Gi-hun In-ho had only read about in his file, the one before the games, only⦠happier.
In part because of him.
In-ho could use that to his advantage.
If ever they became certain his Gi-hun wasn't coming back, then he could forge a future with this one instead.
All that mattered to In-ho at that point was that he was alive and well.
Now, he just had to play his cards right.
Ducking his head, he decided to bring a little bit of Young-il to the surface, turn up the charm, if only for a moment. To gauge Gi-hun's reaction.
He was good at detecting more blatant lies from In-ho, but sprinkle in a dash of the truth, and where did that leave him?
"I know that I can't possibly make up for all of the ways I've wronged you here," he stated, looking up at him from underneath his eyelashes, "but I am trying to atone for my actions in the only way I know how. Until we figure things out, I am yours in whatever way you need me, Gi-hun, and I assure you." Parting his lips, he lowered his voice into a husky whisper. "I am just as capable of taking care of you and your needs as your In-ho is."
Taken aback, Gi-hun gaped at him, his gaze flitting down towards In-ho's lips for a split second before snapping back up to meet his eyes, caught in the act.
Gotcha.
Snapping himself out of his daze, Gi-hun jumped up to his feet.
"Nope!" He barely managed to catch his chair before it toppled onto the floor, righting it as he rambled on. "Nope, nope, nope. That is trouble. Youā" Eyes narrowed, Gi-hun pointed at him, ignoring any attention he was drawing to himself. "You are trouble, and you definitely haven't earned that privilege. At all!"
In-ho fought back a smirk. "'Privilege'?"
"Damn right. I know my worth. I know what I said," he huffed. In record time, Gi-hun patted himself down, found his pack of cigarettes, then held his hand out to In-ho expectedly. "Give me your lighter."
"Anything for you."
"Stop that," he scolded. "You're being weird."
"I'm being nice," In-ho corrected, pulling out his lighter as he was told. Of course, as he handed it over, he couldn't resist teasing him some more, grazing his fingers along the inside of Gi-hun's wrist. "And the offer is always open."
"Yet my legs remain closed," Gi-hun said, cold as ice. "Settle the bill. I'll see you outside."
"Yes, sir," In-ho answered, admiring the curve of his ass as he stormed off towards the exit.
Whatever the future had in store for them, In-ho was ready for whatever Gi-hun threw his way.
I'm sorry but vaccines are so fucking cool. You're telling me that I just need to drop by my doctor, feel a pinprick, maaaybe feel a bit off for a day and then I have statistically significant, incredible chances of either completely avoiding getting a certain illness or at the very least have a pretty string guarantee my body will kick its ass swiftly??? Fucking magic potion.
Once again I want to remind everyone: we are just a couple of generations removed from a time when it was COMPLETELY NORMAL for around 50% of children to die before the age of 5. And now for the first time in ALL OF HUMAN EXISTENCE EVER, most children who are born will make it to adulthood. Fucking incredible.

No, but a few days ago I was looking at stuff on Pinterest, and my 7-year-old sister, who knows I like *Squid Game*, said, āOh, is that Gi-hun and that thing?ā
my mom just had a 7cm brain tumor removed and since she's woken up she's been talking nonstop about this dream she had about going to an art gallery full of colourful paintings by a 'homosexual artist' named klimsdorf who was ethereal and wise, both young and old... at first she was convinced he was a real person but after failing to find him online she's accepted he was a figment of her subconscious mind and is now determined to bring him to life via painting his portrait herself. she's 67 and has never drawn in her life. and now this. blorbo from her tumor

These people blocked me on both Twitter and Tumblr, and then someone used a burner account to go off on me on Twitter. This person insisted that I was singlehandedly responsible for the project falling.
[A screenshot of a Tweet by user getvalentined reading: "Call me crazy, but I think if the guidelines on your fan project wouldn't allow THE ORIGINAL SOURCE MATERIAL to be included in the project for "moral" reasons, you simply should not do the project. You also should not be in the fandom. Maybe that's just me, though."]
[A comment on this post by sparkythesheep which says "They also clarified in another tweet that their zine, a ruthless pursuit of blood, would not allow too much blood to be depicted in works submitted to the zine. A little was ok, but let's not go wild here in our ruthless pursuit of blood."]
every time i listen to āyouāre a mean one mr. grinchā i canāt help but sit there and think āwhat did the grinch do to hurt you?ā because dude just stands there for 2 minutes and 58 seconds and drags the grinch into the dirt
you know what if someone told me i was a three-decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich with arsenic sauce iād probably be bitter enough to steal christmas tooĀ
Interestingly, though The Grinch Who Stole Christmas is narrated by Boris Karloff, the big musical number is sung by the late Thurl Ravenscroft - an American voice actor better known as the voice of Tony the Tiger.
My headcanon is that the Grinch and Tony the Tiger had a bad breakup, and āYouāre a Mean One, Mr. Grinchā is the resulting breakup song.
Youāre not bothered?? Iām not only not bothered, Iām freaking invested. Iām having actual empathetic sadness for The Grinch. I want them to go into coupleās counseling. I want theĀ āten years laterā when Tony visits Whoville on business and meets the reformed Grinch whose heart has grown 3 times its usual size. I want them to reminisce over a shared dinner of roast beast and wine, then spend a drunken night together, then realize that maybe things are different and people really do change. I want a 3-act story where thereās a long dark night of soul searching and the realization that maybe weāve allĀ got a little bit of bad banana with greasy black peel inside us, but that doesnāt mean we canāt make a damned fine banana bread if someone will give us a chance.Ā
āmaybe weāve allĀ got a little bit of bad banana with greasy black peel inside us, but that doesnāt mean we canāt make a damned fine banana bread if someone will give us a chanceā is an incredibly profound quote and I did NOT expect to get it from a Grinch x Tony the Tiger post
āmaybe weāve allĀ got a little bit of bad banana with greasy black peel inside us, but that doesnāt mean we canāt make a damned fine banana bread if someone will give us a chanceā
As you all know my son speaks primarily through echolalia. Occasionally he comes out with a sentence of his own and its absolutely wonderful and we encourage him fully.
Like just now. We were sat out in the garden and a huge seagull landed nearby. Our boy wasn't afraid but did point at it and say "its a creepy white bird."
I gave him loads of hugs and praise, and "yes, it *is* a creepy white bird, well done!"
My husband, without missing a beat, said, "Just like Jk Rowling."
My son looked back at the seagull and said, "JK Rowling is a creepy white bird."

Sometimes you remember that the US was almost completely untouched by WW1, when you see a letter like this from February 1916 right after reading about conditions on the Western Front and at Gallipoli that winter, and you have a moment.
Totally irrelevant to the gender of it all. It just gave me a moment.
