Dr. Francis Cress Welsing March 18, 1935 - January 2, 2016 Her work, along with her colleague Neely Fuller Jr, bravely sought to provide the framework for understanding the historical nature of the relationship between whites and blacks in America and the world over. Synthesizing her work with Cheikh Anta Diop, Marimba Ani, Amos Wilson, John Henrik Clarke, and so many others helped me to organize a world view that allowed me to understand the problems that plague my community with clarity. They provided me with the mind state to critically and objectively analyze the world and our position within it. Dr. Welsing taught me to not fall into emotional scuffles with people, but to speak and stick to the facts. In order to survive, one must be clear of mind and balanced in the heart. She helped push the collective consciousness in the direction of scientific analysis instead of petty squabbling. For that, I salute her and give thanks for the body of work that she left behind for us to build from. Nothing is stagnant. It's our duty to carry on the legacy and make things better for those that will follow us. We have to continue the work. And btw, the latest census stats show that her theory was right on target. - #blacksthoughts #Repost @bigkevm10 with @repostapp ・・・ Energy Never Dies.
