So on Friday I decided to abandon what I thought was going to be my third book. Twenty thousand words in and yet? It wasn’t something I was rushing to get to everyday- it didn’t keep me up at night imagining scene after scene. There was something there. But the something wasn’t enough. Monday morning and I’m excited to turn my attention back. Back before The Grown Ups to a novel I labored over two years ago after The Summer We Fell Apart was published. Most times it’s wise not to look back. But this is different.
