â - Okay, but is this not Team Rocket?!?!?!?
My muse has been acting strange, send one for your muse to â - Slam my muse against a wall after my muse has been avoiding your muse to ask them whatâs going onÂ
Trying to keep something hidden from Jesse was like trying to get Meowth to keep quiet for five minutes: practically impossible. Still a surprise party wasnât much of a surprise if the person it was being thrown for knew about it; so he tried his best to keep it secret while not making himself look too suspicious.
He thought heâd been doing pretty well as it was the day before the party and Jesse hadnât said anything just yet but it seemed that wasnât the case. As he rounded the corner with Chimecho he was met with a rather irate Jesse asking what in Arceusâ name was going on. To her credit she managed to keep her voice one volume bar below actually yelling at him.Â
He held his hands up in surrender before motioning for her to follow him promising itâd explain his behavior. With a small motion of his hand he sent his Pokemon to go get Meowth and the others. A truce had been called with the twerps for just this once. As far as James could tell Jesse hadnât had a proper birthday in well ever and he wanted to fix that. He was fairly certain they thought this was a trap but, thankfully, he managed to talk them into it.
They arrived at the small cottage, the summer home heâd spent many days in as a boy, the party was taking place in after taking the longest route possible there.
âWhy do I need to have my eyes shut for this James?â
âBossâs orders.â He was going to get in sooooo much trouble for that later.
With a huff she finally closed and covered her eyes letting him lead her in. He poked his head in to make sure everyone was there motioning for all to stay quiet. He led her in and closed the door behind them.
She did so fully expecting something disappointing but instead was met with the people she cared, or it was complicated, about and a little cake with a single candle in it.
âHappy birthday Jesse!â they all cried with varying degrees of enthusiasm.
âYouâd said you hadnât had a birthday party before. A proper one,â James explained. He leaned close and whispered, âIâve promised weâll leave Pikachu alone but thereâs always next time.â
Jesse stood motionless trying to process the fact that James had done this, that the twerps had done this for her. She gave James a small smile and nodded. She could live with not blasting off today.
