“Hurry up Fray, we can’t let those bisexuals beat us at thiscake contest!”

“Alec, for the hundredth time, it’s not timed, let me takemy time, you idiot!”

From the table next to them, Isabelle sat on the bar stool,slowly stirring the frosting in her bowl and Magnus sipped at his wine,observing his boyfriend cracking eggs in a rush and Clary panicking over thatshe can’t find the sprinkles. Actually, he was not the only one payingattention to that, considering that she was literally screaming “Where theactual fuck are my god damn sprinkles, who took my sprinkles, I will murderevery single one of you if I have to, give me my sprinkles back!” as Alec heldher back from throwing a milk carton at a white straight couple two tablesaway.

“Do you think there’s any use in telling them again that a bakingclass is not the same thing as a cake contest?” Izzy said, a fond smile on herface as she watched her girlfriend glare at the said straight white couple.

“Considering the first 3 times didn’t change anything fortheir stubborn competitive asses, I don’t think there’s any more need to try.”Magnus chuckled, as he put his wine glass down and reached over to open theoven and check if the cupcakes were ready or not.

Magnus and Izzy thought it might be a good idea to have adouble date at a baking class, but from the second the instructor said thewords “pick your partner” both Alec and Clary’s brains lost the ability toregister this as anything but the biggest competition of their lives. Theydecided that they were going to split up into gay and bi teams and they onlygot to work after watching Clary and Alec spend 15 minutes saying things like “let’ssee if the L in LGBT stands for ladyfingers master” and “let’s see if I’m notjust gay but I also SLAY… at baking.”

Finally, their cupcakes were done. Magnus and Izzy went forsimple half chocolate half vanilla ones, while Alec and Clary decided to make rainbowfrosting, a rainbow cake and add rainbow sprinkles.

“I thought you said that this is a cake contest, not a who’sgayer contest?” Izzy teased, walking over to their table and looking down attheir tray.

“First of all, there is no need for a who’s gayer contest,we all know that I’m the gayest one here.” Clary said, and Magnus burst out laughingat the look of shock and hurt on Alec’s face. “Second of all, there technicallyis no need for a cake contest either, considering that our cupcakes are like so much better than yours.”

Izzy shook her head fondly and muttered something along thelines of “This was never a cake contest to begin with, dummy” under her breath.

“How dare you say that you’re gayer than me?” Alec interrupted, “Can you believe thisMagnus? She just said that she is gayer than me? What kind of disrespect… I cannot even… I thought we were friends…”

“Alexander, dear, I don’t think it is physically possiblefor a human being to be gayer than you.” Magnus put his hand on Alec’s shoulderand smiled at the genuine look of happiness and pride that took over the latter’sface, as he turned to Clary and stuck his tongue out to her.

After witnessing his boyfriend be the most dramatic 4-year-oldhe’s ever met, Magnus sat down in the stool and pulled Alec down for a kiss bythe lapels of his jacket and heard him whisper “we are so going to beat you” into his mouth and then felt him smile as hekissed him softly, putting his hands on Magnus’s waist and then pulling awayfrom the kiss, only to leave about a dozen kisses on Magnus’s cheeks, as Magnusgrinned and placed a soft kiss on Alec’s forehead: “of course you are darling.”

ok, so my family doesn’t usually do typical vacations, of visiting a place and staying in a hotel and whatnot. our vacations have usually been cruises. (though i went to disneyland this summer and did some headcanons for that here, here, and here) we never had a lot of money, but my mom loved cruises because it was something safe and relaxing we could do with our extended family, and she is a queen at finding the cheapest stuff available. so my experience with vacations is cruises! soooooooo

it’s a caribbean cruise

jenna and nicko take it upon themselves to explore the ENTIRE boat on the first day

sam would sit on the top deck with a sketchbook and draw different scenes of the boat or the water

sarah and silas went to the shows every night, and tried to round up as many kids as they could to go with them

(they were also picked to do a gameshow about married couples)

erik gets a “vacation girlfriend” on the first day; a worker who worked the trivia activities

erik and septimus both RAVAGED the buffet all week, trying as many things as they could

the kids would all do late-night games, swimming, mini golf, etc. after meeting to get ice cream around 10 every night

simon, lucy, sam, edd, erik, and jojo hit up the on-boat club like half the nights

septimus, jenna, and nicko were all too young for the club, and did a lot of the teen club activities

simon and lucy won a ballroom dancing competition

they teamed up in a volleyball competition and were #undefeated

jojo got really sick, so he missed a lot of the first couple days, totally holed up in his room

the rooms were split: simon, lucy, jenna, and sam in one room, septimus, edd, erik, jojo, and nicko in the other

they only bought 2 soda cards for all 11 of them. one to silas, and one to edd, and they certainly got their money’s worth

sam got the same meal and desert every night at their sit down dinner, and  the waiters playfully made fun of him for it

they get to the airport at 5 am for a 9 o’clock flight

lots of checking and rechecking to make sure they don’t lose anything along the way

edd is asleep the entire time. everytime they have to go somewhere else, he just picks up his bag, and sets it down and goes right back to sleep on it

septimus and jenna both get fancy airport hot chocolates and it honestly changes their lives

erik somehow finds a different girl to flirt with every half hour

when they finally board the plane, they have to split off in groups of 3

group 1: nicko, jenna, septimus. group 2: jojo, edd, erik. group 3: simon, lucy, sam. group 4: silas, sarah, rando that likes to talk WAY too much for silas’ liking

nicko sits on the end seat, but even still has a couple of really rough moments because of his claustrophobia

they all sit in a cluster, and play card games and stuff in a big group, annoying the stewards

simon, lucy, and sam watch movies and make fun of them

edd and erik get snacks and drinks every single time the steward walks by. how they are still hungry after 8 bags of mini pretzels each, the world may never know
