I am terrible at bookmarking lol but the first fic I bookmarked was a star wars fic called A Mother's Love which I must have bookmarked back when I first created my account.
It's weird looking back at really old bookmarks because a lot of them really aren't what I like to read anymore lol
Ooh ok this is a difficult one - I'm an absolute sucker for hurt/comfort and also, weirdly, for accidental marriage. Also definitely Found Family, I want that family to be so found and so important to each other. Honestly I've found that I tend to like to read what I also like to write.
C3 - Is there anything that makes you nope out of a story? What is it?
Big blocks of text. I just can't focus on the words within them so that's a big no for me. Also bad grammar and particularly bad takes on characters I have a very specific idea of. But otherwise I'm not that picky, I will read pretty much anything.

dude its all fake i just got bored of sketching with regular graphite and was like can we skip to the part where i colour everything in??? so i bought a while ago now this bicolor red and blue pencil by caran d'ache and well here we have this years victims bc im in love with them:
AND im a huge fan of works by leigh ellexson and @silmaspens both are such fantastically talented artists and just really know how to have fun with art in a way that's not restricted? if that makes sense. I didn't use pencil for a long time bc imh i was kind of intimidated by them? like if u look up coloured pencil art u get these hyperrealistic portraits and that not my jam these however 'S BEAUTIFUL IS DELICIOUS SUCH GOOD ART I HAVE LEIGH'S PRINTS IN MY WALLS AND A FILE OF MY FAVE STYLES WITH SILMAPENS WORK FOR INSP
so uhhh tips??? draw in ur favourite colours, sketch in them, go fucking nutts bc there r no rules. failing that: try red pencil, line art or detail with a darker colour, my go to is a burgundy and build from there. they will naturally blend and unfortunately for my bank account u can buy individual coloured pencils and my favourites are the faber-Castell Polychromes, v good for sketching and solid colour. And i use Carandache Luminace just bc they're waxy? and blend nice so i use them more for skin and cloths. Contrast is key!

How I feel about this character
I really loved all three of them in the books! They gave off a great first impression when we meet them in Lórien, although besides Haldir none of them say a lot. I like Rúmil for some reason the most, the other two are tied.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Uh, I have never really considered any of this? I mean I have seen some Haldir/Lindir around but if I think about it Lindir would probably fit more with my headcanon version of Rúmil. So maybe that?
My non-romantic OTP for this character
Celeborn!!!! I headcanon that when he and Galadriel arrive in Lórien the three brothers have just recently lost their parents. Celeborn took one look at them and adopted them on the spot. Galadriel just kind of went along with that. Haldir also got along very well with Amroth, Nimrodel and Celebrian, he was devastated once they all slowly left but his brothers cheered him up.
My unpopular opinion about this character
For Haldir, I don't like the movie version of him? I have no clue why but I don't really like the way he was portrayed. Nothing against his actor it's just the way I feel.
I'm very sad that the other two were left out.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened to this character in canon
If we go by movie canon, Haldir surviving is definitely a top priority. Aside from that? I would like it if all three of them go with Celeborn and travel to Valinor on the last ship so that they can have a happy ending.

Gimli raises an eyebrow as Legolas drops down beside him.
He looks remarkably like a disgruntled cat that’s just been given an unceremonious bathing, dripping water onto the soft rugs that cover all the rooms in Rivendell and scowling like the end of the world has come.
“It’s not funny,” he mumbles, his nose turning faintly pink as he crosses his arms.
“I wasn’t laughing.” Gimli sets his pipe aside and stands up from his chair. “You look terrible.”
“My sister pushed me into the fountain.”
Gimli snorts despite himself and Legolas scowls harder.
“This is not funny. Don’t you dare laugh.”
“I wasn’t laughing,” Gimli repeats and forces a straight face.
“Yes you were.” Legolas flops to the ground, hugging his knees up to his chest.
Gimli sighs, getting maybe a little bit irritated by Legolas’ melodrama. “Come on love, let’s get into something dry and then we can go to bed.”
Legolas bats away his hand and drops back onto the carpet.
“No. I think I shall wallow in my pain where I am.”
It takes a lot of Gimli’s self control not to groan out loud. He resorts instead to pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Legolas…” he begins but is cut off as Legolas reaches out to take his hand.
“Look,” Legolas says, with a faux-innocence, “our hands fit perfectly together.”
“Do not change the subject,” Gimli says sharply even as he curls their fingers together. “You need to get changed and go to bed. We have an early start tomorrow, what with helping Arwen-”
“Then I shall sleep here!”
“No you aren’t you silly little elf.”
He heaves and manages to pull Legolas over his shoulders. The elf is ridiculously light for how tall he is and, even though his feet trail on the floor, Gimli manages to drag him over to the bed.
“Hey! Put me down!”
Gimli can imagine the outraged look on Legolas’ face and smothers a laugh.
“Come on, this isn’t funny!” He half heartedly hits at one of Gimli’s arms and Gimli can’t help the snort of laughter that slips out.
This only makes Legolas more disgruntled. “Stop laughing!”
Having now reached the bed, Gimli drops him on it. “Go to sleep, idiot.”
“I am not an idiot,” Legolas argues, sitting up and trying to push him away, “and I don’t need to sleep.”
“Really?”
“Yes, I told you, now let me…” Legolas trails off as he sees the face . “Unless…you wanted to stay with me?”
Gimli kicks off his boots. “What sort of question is that?”
There’s no more complaining after Gimli comes under the blanket with him.
He can feel Legolas breathing and his heart beating just from their sheer proximity and there’s something so very comforting about being rocked to sleep by their rhythm.
Even if he is a bit damp.
Gimli smiles into the space between Legolas’ shoulder blades.
“Do you think,” Legolas asks, just as Gimli is falling asleep, “that you could make a machine that dried you off really really quickly?
