〖失われた魂〗 It looked as though he startled her, with the way she was stammering. Maybe she had thought she was the only one up, too. 

     “This late at night?” She had dedication, he had to give her that, if she was really staying up this late to check the equipment. When the sun will come up, Kamina knew checking things like that would be harder to do. Still, he couldn’t help but wonder if there was another reason why she was up this late. It wasn’t as though her explanation rolled off the tongue.

     〖失われた魂〗 With the moon high in the sky, it was safe to assume that there wouldn’t be any beastmen attacks for the day. Knowing the day the team had, he wasn’t surprised if he wasn’t the only one awake. There seemed to be more than normal, causing Kamina to wonder if they were finally getting closer to the recall point. Or, maybe it finally meant they were strong enough to be noticed by this point, seen as a real threat. This was more than fine with Kamina. He wanted the enemy to know about him and his team, and that the beastmen’s days in control were numbered.

     Leaning against one of Gurren’s legs, the young teen shifts his gaze out into the barren landscape, dotted above with the innumerable amount of stars in the sky. It was one of the things he enjoyed seeing the most since coming to the surface. No longer did he have to look up at a dull ceiling, constantly filled with the sense he was trapped. Up here, he was free. Returning his gaze to the small campsite, it was then he realized there was one short. Turning his head to the side, he caught sight of Yoko.

     “What are you looking at?” Kamina asks, walking over to where the redhead was.
