“ There’s a second one, he wasn’t there before. “

She assumed that there was only one, he showed up so suddenly that it caught her off guard. She had gotten lucky, but…. It was bothering her. She wanted to know how and when that shooter had gotten there. Maybe he was there the whole time or maybe he was toying with her.

“ WE have to get out here, but i’m sure that exit might be blocked by now.” 

 Jigen looked to a nearby bell tower, where he got a glance at a shady silhouette. It’s shape and movements were enough context clues to confirm Fuiiko’s story. He looked back at the femme fatale. “Don’t worry about the exit, right now. We’ll figure that out, right now we have to focus on the gunman. Thankfully, from what I can tell they are lighter on security than we thought, and lucky for you..” 

 “Great, this day is just not looking like one of our better days. I knew I had a bad feeling last night, right in the pit of my gut, telling me that this would be a disaster.” He gave out a big sigh just thinking about it. “You were there, I tried convincing him that next week would be a better time. Lupin was just about to agree, but then Fujiko had to open her big mouth, and seduce him into doing it as soon as possible. It was obvious we were walking right into a trap!” Jigen screamed grabbing onto his hat in anger.

❝Ha… Well then, I’ll do my best to keep my hands in check around you.❞ Maintaining her cheery face, she wiggles her fingers in the air. It’d be a very inconvenient and tedious healing process if he shot her hands off.

❝Oh. Lulu and I’ve crossed paths occasionally. First met when he chased his monkey into a house I was trying to steal from at that exact time. Almost got us into trouble too when they set off the security system. But naturally, I was able to get us out safely so no hard feelings.❞

 “I see, you’re not as unfamiliar as I thought you were. You’re the woman, Lupin described to me after I found him from you two’s little run in with the law.” A chuckle was uttered under that same breath. “I suppose it really is a small world, after all.”

“You know, I bet all of you could PROBABLY make super neat art if you tried hard enough! Who knows, if it’s BEAUTIFUL enough it might even end up hanging in the gallery one day! Wouldn’t that be great?”

She was losing her herself again, try to get herself out of the tried state. She could have swore that she heard someone talking to her. The voice was hushed and almost sounded like static to her.

“ J…Jigen? ”

It was pure chance that it would be him, but he wasn’t far off from her either. She was angry with herself that she had been so careless to get shot.

“ If that’s…you… this is horrible.”

 “Well, that wasn’t exactly the welcome I wasn’t expecting, but It’s good to know that you’re still among the living.” At the very least she was conscious, enough to answer him back. “Yeah, it’s me alright, Fujiko.” He whispered in a soft reluctant tone. 

“ Ouch! “

 All the theif could hear over the headset was that one cry for help, and static that began to echo through the equipment. “Fujiko?” He didn’t hear a thing, expect for more static. “ Fujiko, do you read?” He asked with more concern in his voice. Still, nothing was coming through.

 There was really no other choice for him really. The guman couldn’t help, but hesitate as he got up from his vantage point. Was this just another of her games again? If he knew that he wouldn’t have to catch hell from Lupin, otherwise, he probably wouldn’t go see what was going on.
