after enjoying the bridge kingdom, i had to pick up the traitor queen to see where aren and lana’s story ended.
i have no idea how i didn’t know about jensen before the bridge kingdom, but now i am thoroughly hooked. i am a sucker for an author that writes tragedy and agony with realism and doesn’t do characters any favors. both lana and aren are put through the RINGER in both books and they go through a lot emotionally as well.
the writing reminded me a lot of kristin cashore who wrote the graceling realm series. had the perfect amount of spice and gore, highly suggest reading this duology.
