My little girl reminding me to dust my bookshelves more often. 😂
@atinyaccount It's complete!
First time drawing Booknook! (Lyric x Mateo)
I had it rendered and was ready to upload it from my ipad on Monday but my ipad fell out of my car and broke so all I was able to salvage was the sketch from google docs. Hope you enjoy regardless.
It's a good thing I'm not a big Lyric stan because holy heck his design is intense. I don't think I will ever complain having to draw Bodhi's curls and cassette tapes ever again. But I'm happy with how this turned out!
A dwarven hall of Moria hidden between books
Handcrafted Moria book nook inspired by the great halls of Khazad-dûm from The Lord of the Rings.
Massive stone columns, deep shadows and ancient dwarven architecture recreate the atmosphere of the legendary underground kingdom beneath the Misty Mountains.
Placed between books, the scene reveals a hidden dwarven hall inside the bookshelf.

But I thought, of the wren's singing, what could this be if it isn't a prayer ?
So I just listened, my pen in the air
- mary oliver, I happened to be standing.
You wanna see my new booknook? Except it’s a room. Made… inside books. And I’m not putting it on a bookshelf.
I got the idea from a vendor at a miniatures expo I went to and was like ohoho yes I’m going to make my own out of all those pretty old books I find at estate sales, so that’s what I did. It was lots of slicing and gluing of pages, and then slicing and glueing wood for the floor and fireplace and everything else. The only premade thing I bought was the front door, and even that was modified to be smaller and have more clear panels at the bottom.
Technically this isn’t even complete. I wanted a chair in there and a clock and some pillows for the bench, but I had been working on it for a month and I was ready to move on.
