8/3/20 #cardoftheday - #thealien from the #starmantarot. The Alien replaces The Hermit in this particular deck, and I can’t think of a better card to draw today- the Aquarius Full Moon. The Alien tells us not to retreat from society to seek answers within ourselves, but to embrace the parts of self that are different. To glow in all our strangeness. To remove the disguises and embrace our truth. On this day Badejo was born. He played the Xenomorph alongside stuntman Eddie Powell in Alien (1979). At a massive 6ft 10 inches tall and with a slender frame, Badejo was ideally cast after a member of the film crew met him in a bar. Tragically, he died of sickle cell anemia in December of 1992. Happy Birthday to Bolaji Badejo. Woefully unknown, let's all remember the first man to portray a Xenomorph on screen. Rest in peace.
