I've been coming up with some ideas for how the League (and other villains, but this post is just about the League) would fit into the Musician AU, and there's one idea that I've sort of settled on, being that the League of Villains is a Metal Band. I knew I wanted to keep their little group together, so making them a band was a no-brainer, but picking a genre was a little tough. I decided on Metal because it's often seen/depicted as a counter-culture genre (I've even heard it described as the "bastard son" of music), and I think it relates to the League and the things they stand for in canon. This also lets me turn their canon Villain outfits into their "stage costumes," or at least only make relatively minor changes to their designs (except for Spinner. No quirks means I gotta humanize that guy), and lets me turn their Villain names into Stage Names.

Initially, I wanted to give Shigaraki the Cello, mostly because I think it's such a gorgeous and haunting instrument and I felt like the atmosphere the cello can create really matched Shigaraki; however, I have since come to realize that the cello would be more fitting for AFO, which lets me stick Shigaraki in with the band.
