Since Santa lives in a remote region, he's able to work year round on preparing gifts for everyone at Christmas (I have a theory about this, as well). His elves assist, taking direction from him based on his famous list and requests from every boy and girl, as to what toys to make and which ones go to which children. These are things which will delight the children, and bring them great joy.

Santa, I think, represents the White Light, which sees all, knows all, and more or less gathers data necessary for the Inner Source to act and then delivers the "messages" which we receive by whatever means. The Inner Source is therefore the company of busy elves who never leave the North Pole, as the Source communicates with us via the White Light. It takes in ever request made and sets the unseen elves into motion preparing our wishes for manifestation.

The sad part comes at the time of receiving (Christmas), as we are then made aware of whether we've made joyful wishes, or depressing ones. In actuality, there are no "bad" or "wrong" manifestations of our wants, just an exact replica of what our beliefs have delivered to us.

Even more distressing is the fact that we fail to give thanks to the Light and the Source for their unfailing realization of what we truly have asked for and their quick delivery of it to us, even throughout the year. Instead of feeling gratitude, we turn away from the Light, try to cut our ties with the Inner Source, and in so doing suffer all the more when we see that this only brings more unwanted gifts.
