I am a DM that LOVES to make weird shit happen thanks to wild magic. My groups last few sessions really prove this. A wild magic surge, along with an ancient artifact that functions as like a magic super battery, caused the players to get caught in a time loop. They were on the same train that they had crashed back in the first session and during this time loop some level 18 NPCs came in to capture the wild mage. Whenever the players died, the day would reset. They reset a LOT. However, they finally succeed thanks to the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount spell "Immovable Object". They targeted the gunslinger Ixivar's cloak and froze it in place. On a train. Going very fast. Next thing the poor gunslinger knew he was hurtling through walls out the back of the train. And thanks to a well timed Sleep spell they also managed to capture the other enemy, a glaive wielding ranger. And the session ended with 3 words as the gunslinger crashed threw the train. "Eat shit Ixivar"
