This is a small vent, apologies in advance. So, I’m in a kin server on discord, and there’s a kin-general channel, and I drew a picture of one of my kins and sent it there, right? And then today I find out that Actually, My Friend’s Friend (who’s ALSO in the server) referenced it as themself and set it as their pfp?? And I don’t have an issue with them also kinning the character, that’s Not The Problem, it’s just that That Specific Drawing That I Made was me!>:/ And if I’d sent the drawing in the Art channel instead of the Kin channel then SURE! That’d be better, because then it’s a general post and not immediately being established as me. But it Wasn’t sent to the art channel!! okay that’s all

Some of these characters, for certain fics, I’ve written with an ace mindset-- meaning it’s something I’m keeping in mind about them when writing the character/situation they’re in-- but for others it’s just me pointing and going “claimed in the name of the Aces”. Which I do often.
