Tristan hating Than and them becoming rivals after what happened in Paris.

Something I always loved about Tristan is how supportive he is of Than, even when Than is being a bit of a jackass. Tristan always treated Than nicely, and with respect, even after he kissed Tanner back in season 2. He explained “the rules” to him, encouraged Than’s exploration of his sexuality when they were in Daytona Beach, and treated him as a friend. Hell, at one point (and this is more or less my opinion), it seemed as though Tristan was hoping for Than & Shaw to become a thing (When the guys we’re talking about how nuch they hated Shaw and Than hanging out, Tristan thought they were cute...We never did find out how everyone reacted to them hooking up BTW. I wonder if they even found out?). Yes, Than was occasionally hostile towards Tristan but it could be argued that was just normal Than-behaviour, and not him acting out of malice. My point is, despite Tristan being in a serious relationship with Tanner, and Than harbouring feelings for Tanner, they managed to have a very stable & supportive friendship, and I don’t want season six to erase all that.

Yes, Tristan has a right to upset by what happened. After Paris I would be a little more cautious around Tanner too, but Than did nothing wrong. He helped a drunken Tanner out of an embarrassing situation, made sure he was some place safe for the night, and did not take advantage of him because he knew Tanner was too shit-faced to give consent. Than was just being a good bro and my point is he and Tristan’s dynamic shouldn’t be trashed because of the misunderstanding that happened when Tanner sobered up. The whole situation was a huge misunderstanding, and the only thing that anyone really did wrong was drink a little too much, and I’d hate to see Tristan and Than hate each other after something so stupid.
