So...I've been into The Lion King mood lately and I am so bored right now that I decided to introduce one of my favourite characters from my original story inspired by The Lion King, but for a more mature audience. The one and only, Thabisa. Artwork by: Celestial-Drift and Calmomila

Introduction

Personality

Thabisa is the leader of a large pride of lionesses, called the Jabulani pride. She is overall a wise and confident lioness, who loves her pride sisters and treats them as equals while also being assertive when needed to be; she would do literally anything for her lionesses. Positive traits ✔ Wise Years of experience made her a wise leader, always trying to make the best and smartest decisions for her pride’s well-being; she is also a very good advisor. ✔ Strong Thabisa was gifted with a strong build and will; she is also above average size for a female, making her one of the most feared lionesses from Cursed Scars. ✔ Fair She always tries her best to be and stay fair, always trying to look for an option that is beneficial for everyone. ✔ Protective Thabisa is extremely protective of her lionesses and will fight for their safety to her last breath, hurting one of hers is basically a death penalty for her. This is a natural trait for her as she was already very protective before taking the leadership of the pride. ✔ Confident This is a trait that Thabisa eventually learns throughout her life, it came with experience and personal growth. Like she once said “I haven’t achieved anything until I finally got confident enough”. ✔ Selfless She cares more about her pride sisters than herself, even going as far as not eating when the food is scarce, for her, that’s the duty of a true leader. Negative traits X Manipulative Thabisa is very good with words and is a very good manipulator, however, she only uses her manipulative skills to intimidate or take advantage of her enemies. X Moody She can be a bit moody sometimes, especially when something is annoying her or when she can’t find a solution to her problems. She tends to get a bit sarcastic ask for space when she is in a bad mood. X Vengeful She has a tendency to be vengeful towards her enemies, especially when they mess up with her pride sisters, she will take her revenge when the time is right and she doesn’t mind waiting. X Hostile Thabisa shows a very perceptible hostility towards males and while she won’t attack them right away and will tolerate her lionesses to spend time with one if they so desire (unless they have bad intentions and are very clear about them), she will never tolerate a male to stay or take over the pride and territory.

Trivia

Thabisa is the only lioness from her pride that knows how to recognize and manage poisonous plants and animals, such knowledge was passed down to her by the previous leader of the pride, Dumisa.

She was the first lioness who had the guts to face Rastakah and the only one who managed to find out who Sahamara was.

Due to the harsh environment she was raised in, she is a very good hunter, leading most of the hunts; she is a very good strategist.

 She has a strict training routine for her and her lionesses and it brought good results to the pride, with most rogues avoiding stepping on their territory because of their reputation.

While Thabisa is the first descendant of the ex-leader Khanyisa and as such, the rightful future leader, that place was taken from her when Khanyisa had a sudden death, too young to take the pride into her paws, Dumisa took the place as new leader upon some trials.

I pretty much only have oc x canon when it comes to my humanoid characters so I hope these count. :P

My favorite has to be the relationship between Myline and Itachi! Maybe it is because of how tragic, yet, so meaningful (at least for me) it is...it is different, it's not about kissing, hugging or intimate moments, it's about trust, tolerance, comprehension, support and mutual help.

I actually have a post about their dynamics here that I will go ahead and share because it was completely ignored back then. ^^'

I wish I could draw myself, but unfortunately I can't, so I don't really have any oc couple art I did myself. :( While I've never really focused on my characters relationships when it comes to writing (As in, I've never wrote anything that was fully romance or fluff), I am trying to write romance a bit more now but since english is not my first language I am guessing most of my followers will not be able to understand everything. :') (I'm portuguese)

(I apologize in advance for my english, it is not my first language ^^') Just got this beautiful work from one of my favourite TLK artists, Calmomila, it's always such a pleasure to work with her, I hope I can commission her again someday. ♥ Anyway, allow me to take advantage of this piece to explain a bit about these two girls, Thabisa and Matimba. The one standing is Thabisa, the leader of the Jabulani pride, which is a pride that consists only of females, they are seen as atypical and other prides don't appreciate their ways, however, they are also feared because they are extremely capable lionesses and are known to drive away males trying to invade their territory, especially the ones who still follow the old ways as they do not approve these (my story happens during a period of change, prides are slowly appropriating the new ways, basically the old ways are just like how lions work in real life, while the new ways work kinda like the The Lion King world, but with a few differences). The Jabulani pride is a very unique pride, with their own culture and rules.

The one lying down is Matimba, she is a trans lioness that had a very rough past and wasn't well accepted by her previous pride. She was kicked out of the pride after she finally got the courage to face them about their acts of prejudice towards her, especially towards her incomplete mane, for which she was bullied. Unfortunately for her, their territory wasn't far away from the sandy lands where the Jabulani lives and she ends up getting lost into a totally different biome than what she was used to, not being able to thrive alone due to the lack of experience and adaptation. She was found by Thabisa and some of her lionesses weeks later, she was severely dehydrated and malnourished, could barely get up. Together the females were able to move Matimba to a safe place within their territory and took care of her for the next months.
