I'm obsessed.
Optimus is self-sacrificial and will die for everyone. But his treatment of Bee throughout the series has been openly obsessive. Meeting Skybyte, he chooses to let Elita to handle herself and doesn't even really try to intervene to protect her. He looks out for Wheeljack and supports him.
But then there's the way he seems to go blank and only focus on Bee when he's in danger. Jumps out of a pod not caring if it kills him (ignores Elita who could have died if she reached the barrier), sacrifices energon to throw Bee to the finish line. And there's also how Bee not listening to him seemed to knock him into a commander's role that he never uses. He views all his comrades as his closest friends. Yet Bumblebee is treated like he absolutely has to stay by his side at all times or he will lose his mind
