Have you ever wanted to make a video essay but haven't?
Well, I am working on a project to create a stronger queer trans community and further our presence on youtube through video essays!
The goal is to create a resource which will make it easier for anyone to start making video essays (with a focus on creating queer community) and we will go from there!
So I created this survey (see attached)
Thanks so much! 💜🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
Hi! My name is espy, and I am working on making a resource for people who want to make video essays. However, I want to make ensure the qual
not enough trans people know that the synth was created by a transgender woman! Her name is Wendy Carlos and she worked with Robert Moog to create the synth. Wendy innovated music as synths became popular, she won 3 Grammy's and helped make the soundtracks to Tron, The Shining, and Clockwork Orange. Shes still alive today, at 86. Proving trans people can live long lives.
not enough trans people know about Marsha P Johnson. A black transgender woman and advocate for homeless trans youth, she founded STAR, or Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries, with her close friend and fellow trans woman, Sylvia Rivera.
Marsha was one of the most vocal and outspoken trans activists in our history, she was (*very very likely*) murdered at 47. It was ruled a suicide, but her close friend Sylvia doubted this, saying she had made a "pact" with Marsha, "to cross the River Jordan together."
trans sisterhood is the strongest thing we have. Never let your trans siblings go uncared for, and always check in on them. Because we know better than nobody else, that we are the only people who would.
It isn't journalism if they wont report a story until you open your wallet.

Paywalled articles are a blight on reporting.
According to a 2025 Pew Research Center article, when inquisitive readers see paywalls, 32% give up looking. I've been that 32% and i'm sure you have too. We are now less educated than we would prefer to be because of our economic status.
Furthermore 83% of people have never paid to read articles, and those who have are the wealthy, and highly educated.
- Only 8% of poor respondents had paid for articles, while 30% of wealthy ones had.
- Only 9% of highschool graduates paid for articles, while 27% of college grads had.
what about the impoverished high school dropout? Can she afford this price gouging?
what can she do to learn regardless?

FREE RESOURCES:
AP News - nonprofit apolitical reporting, currently funded through donatations, does not require any kind of membership.
removepaywall .com - Removes paywalls from articles through searching archives
Pew Research Center - Large database of studies and articles for free, no membership or anything needed.
Local Libraries - Libraries are crucial resources that require support to maintain funding and they will always have some information and resources.
Some of these resources still use advertisements, so remember that ad blockers are completely legal, and almost necessary to online life nowadays.

Hope this finds the people who need this information! If anyone sees and knows other resources I missed, please attach!
*i understand that these news outlets require funding to operate, but like also... The new york times has 13,000,000 members. They had a revenue of 802,000,000$ in Q4 of 2025 alone, a 10% increase from last year. I would say more but the rest of their article was paywalled.*

Food delivery is often a necessity, it is unjust to upcharge "luxury/connivence prices" for premade and delivered food (like take out or uber eats.) Many people have chronic pain, mental illness, or maybe they are just too overworked and tired to go drive 20 minutes each-way to the store, or to pickup food.
Imagine if we charged disabled people extra to use elevators instead of stairs, or made wheelchair ramps have a toll fee.
This convenience and accessibility is not a luxury, but a necessity.
PSA: we should use tone indicators more!!! They are convenient tools that clarify intent in conversations! Sometimes people act like they are redundant, excessive, or pointless. But they have genuinely helped me understand countless messages!
bring back tone indicators!! (/gen)
not enough trans people know that the primary contributor to the DSM-5's diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria, is one of the worlds largest advocates for conversation therapy. His name is Kenneth Zucker.
