~ QUAKE ~
(cutouts) still image/wallpaper under the cut! <3
I can see both of their points of view, though. Not everyone will WANT to develop their powers. And Terrigenesis can no longer be controlled the way it was before, now that the stuff's in the ecosystem. God, imagine a BABY suddenly developing powers. What will happen then??
(Also, Jia Ying losing the plot has no connection with her restrictions on who could go through Terrigenesis.)
But on the other hand, Daisy's right, if there was an official vaccine, it would be mandatory. And although Lincoln may be technically right about the changes to the DNA structure being a disease, that doesn't mean it's the same kind of disease as cancer or smallpox or Covid-19, so it's not really a relevant word for Inhumans unless in a strictly medical context (rather than a social one).
I don't think it would wipe Inhumans out, though. The genetics would still be passed down, and even if Mum had the vaccine, the kid would still develop powers.
The big problem here, I think, is the uncontrolled & random way in which Terrigenesis now works. People sprouting powers out of nowhere because they ate the wrong fish. That's more of a crisis than the actual existence of Inhumans themselves.
...Is it just fish that are the vector for Terrigenesis? As opposed to the actual water (e.g. would swimming in an "infected" spot expose you to it)? Regardless of the answer, I think that a lot of countries (especially countries that's haven't got much/any coast themselves) would simply ban fish imports into the country, even take all fish products off the shelves. And a lot of people would just be too scared to eat fish at all.
Ok so I hate when people do the whole toxic positivity, empty encouragement thing of being like “[disability (in my case ADHD)] is a superpower!”, because like some people would just like to be able to brush off the discomfort of the legitimately disabling aspects of your disability.
However, can we talk about how superpowers/superhero origins stories are unironically some of the best disability allegories in media? In this essay I will-

Day 21 - Favourite Season 4 Moment
Daisy’s Second Terrigenesis.
This moment was not only absolutely awesome, but it also showed just how much Daisy has come full circle. In her first Terrigenesis back in Season 2, she was terrified with no idea what was going on, but now she’s confident, knows what’s coming and welcomes it.Â
What makes this moment even better is that it was May who brought the crystal and sparked Daisy’s Terrigenesis. In this moment, May not only fully accepts that the Hydra she believes in is a lie, but she also decides to trust Daisy and team up with her to make things right. It’s a stunning moment all around, and one of the top points of the season for sure.
