These spicy orange shrimp teriyaki are a quick and tasty keto-friendly dish. A tasty glaze for tender shrimp is made from the sour sweetness of orange juice and the salty flavor of tamari sauce.
Ingredients: 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined. 1/4 cup tamari sauce. 1/4 cup orange juice. 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar. 2 tbsp erythritol or monk fruit sweetener. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tsp grated ginger. 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes. 1 tbsp olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish.
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together tamari sauce, orange juice, apple cider vinegar, sweetener, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Pour the sauce over the shrimp in the skillet and toss to coat. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
