The tendons on my legs are as hard as steel. Bet they could be used in bulletproof vests
Pulling a Face
In the body, connective tissue connects – no news there. But how the right type develops in the right place continues to intrigue. Tendons are a type of connective tissue bringing muscle and bone together, and ligaments are a kind of highly-related connective tissue but distinctive, joining bone to bone. This study of zebrafish face development, identifies the genetic and epigenetic regulatory mechanisms that distinguish tendons and ligaments, and provides insight into disorders in which connective tissue turns to bone

Tyndon, a Flesh Sembla Vani
You guys ever just start looking at your feet, and start realising how fucking weird these things are? Like why are their so many tendons, and the Achilles tendon will just kill your whole leg if it gets snapped. Don’t get me started on toes what the fuck are those things, they made fingees, not fingers, but the lil version for kids, they’re comedically tiny chicken nuggie imitations of fingers. Ankles just look weird. So lumpalicious. Who designed these things.

Here's some hominid soft facial anatomy : )
The model on the right of frame, representing Australopithecus sediba, has been in sporadic progress for over a year now across a few programs, and I was able to create the model on the left of frame by conforming all the A. sediba elements to the Kabwe cranium (belonging to Homo heidelbergensis *or* H. bodoensis by some classifications). That latter process took place entirely in Blender over only a couple days, so I'm pretty happy with this method. While the skulls themselves aren't visible in these screenshots, they are part of the Blender file and were downloaded directly from MorphoSource, which was pretty helpful. The human foot is a complex structure made up of bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments that work together to support and balance the body. With 26 bones, 32 muscles, and 109 ligaments, our feet perform tirelessly every day—whether standing, walking, or running 👣.
They have arches that provide support, while toes help with balance and propulsion 🦶.
Foot growth is rapid in childhood and slows as we age, but incorrect posture or footwear can still disrupt foot structure at any stage 🚶♀️.
