"Come with me," said Tempest Spin. The words should have been lost to the chorus of chaos beyond the outcropping they sheltered behind. Perhaps they had been, truly, and Hoverbolt had just read them from Tempest Spin's lips.

She'd swear she could feel them caress her plating, where Tempest Spin's hand was on hers. Come with me, she said, and she made it sound so reasonable.

And maybe it was. But Hoverbolt had abandoned reason long ago.
