i dont want to do some basic in universe fic cause while that can be good, its probably already been done to tartarus and back. so that leaves me with some brainstorming and ive come up with an idea

has anyone heard of the anime Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation? if you haven’t, don’t watch it (srs). basically, its an isekai anime that is about some guy who was a bum otaku in his past life, dying and waking up in the body of a newborn baby in a fantasy world. he works to make his new life better than his first one, but his very obvious flaws get in the way of that. but i was thinking of doing something based on that. with a little bit of a video game au attached to the fic too.

so there are now three options.

option one: antinous is the one getting isekai’d, and the video game narrator is all up in his head when he gets born being like, YOUR GOAL IS TO BECOME KING OF ITHACA; IF YOU FAIL, YOU DIE PERMANENTLY. and it follows him as he learns to navigate his new world, gathering xp, achievements, getting past his old prejudices and flaws and eventually becoming a suitor to penelope to complete his quest. he thinks its the only way, and then he meets… telemarketing.

option two: same au, but this time, telemachus is the one getting isekai’d and his goal one goal is to keep his mom from getting married before odysseus returns. he gains xp, achievements, and all that stuff. he is averse to the suitors, trying to make sure they dont try anything, but then he meets… antidisestablishmentarianism

option three: same thing as the last two, except theyre both isekai main characters (but they dont know it) this one is my favorite

I honestly only started thinking of a Hazbin Hotel au when the song, 'Gravity' dropped. I'm almost ashamed to admit that my favourite ship is Adam x Lute, which is a large part of the reason I turned them into sharpwolf.

At first, it was non-debatable that Adam would be Antinous, their asshole nature mixed with their charisma was too similar to ignore. I had been thinking of making Telemachus Charlie, but when my friend Akai sent me this picture:
