Every now and then I remember that one GRRM quote where he was talking about characters he writes, and he gave an example of a man who was a war hero who did great deeds only to then go home and be physically abusive to his wife and kids. Such characters who have light and darkness in them, and you can identify elements of heroism while still being allowed to hate the fuck out of them because you’re human too… And then I look at asoiaf fan discourse and I’m like damn, many people really don’t deserve the time and effort this old man puts into his books 😭

ngl, mappa’s inconsistent character design is starting to really annoy me. mikasa had ten different faces in this episode alone.
i realize the animators are overworked and didn’t have enough time. i understand they’re not to blame.
but at this point i wish mappa postponed this season/hasn’t made it at all. the animation is just that underwhelming.
