With all thatβs going on, it felt apt to finally introduce the AU Iβve been holding onto for three months!
The Empty Digital Circus. Letβs ignore the fact that someone spoiled Caineβs next adventure from beyond the grave, and think about Caine instead! Or rather: instead of Caine βdyingβ, the rest of the humans did. An empty circus would leave an AI a lot of time to think, wouldnβt it?
He barely avoided it when Kinger was the only one in the circus, but now that heβs alone with no one to βfulfill his purposeβ to, he goes a bit crazy. Until someone new shows up.
Meet Candi, a human who happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. And now that sheβs here, she can experience everything the circus is hiding.
The story doesnβt extend much beyond Caine and Candiβs every-day interactions and them forming a bond in their digital prison. As time goes on, their endless existence becomes one of Candi teaching Caine everything she can about the macroverse. And after all that happened, Caine eventually learns to listen.
I imagine Iβll be making a lot of fluff and angst as I explore the themes of TADC I resonate with. This was made wayyy back in February (even January, maybe) as I was getting really into Caine and wondered what kind of torture I could put him through. And then, well, episode 8 came and the opposite happened! So itβll probably just become an outlet to process TADC after it ends, lol. More posts coming soon! And more art!
