Grimes being so right about human existence right now and proper goals for our horizons. Caveat on 'Surface Detail' by Iain M Banks it is literally the only book I regret reading; gut wrenching though The Culture is my fave literary series. Struck me as a scare tactic of an epic brutalist architecture rendered as if by H.R. Giger. It makes her point of contrast to emphasis of building our way out but don't read it first please; rather judge Banks via Excession or POG first. Internally screaming to hear Grimes talk about AI/The Culture. Loved this convo as it cross-sectioned so many of my interests and she seems to be doing great. Technocrat hybrid culture and social good as an economic profit is a tad blind to the hole in our bucket, I guess I'm fatalist though I generally agree with her.
