You can hear the faint sound of the wind brushing past your ears.
It’s a nice, calm day out.
The corners of your lips point a sight upwards direction.
You are smiling.
Smiling for the first time ever.
A human walks up to you, their eyes full of distress.
They say that something is in their skin.
They say they feel it crawling in their flesh.
They say it hurts so badly.
Their face begins to melt.
They writhe in agony.
What an untimely sight for such a beautiful, monotone day.
A day which was completely ordinary.
Nothing was different.
Nothing at all.
After all, today was the day you left home, was it not?
