No more burger king. No more mcdonalds. All you need...is #blueprintburgers. Had to go get me a SAM special and let me tell ya, "lub foob pob hauv kuv lub qhov ncauj"(The bomb, in my mouth). Anyways if you happen to be one of those less genetically gifted people like myself, and rely on technique to cheat your way into becoming strong or genetically gifted by peoples perspective of you, then this tip might help on the worst lift of the #powerlifts, the #benchpress. I probably reset my technique, 7-10 times each time I bench press, but the key moment when my bench press feels at its best, is when the barbell is already on top of me, not when its still on the rack. So if you watch, I want to maximize the efficency of getting that last fix in with the least amount of effort so I fix myself the best I can already before the weight is lifted off to me by testing leg drive and how slippery the floor feels, If my butt is sliding back or up (if its back, you are fine. If it jumps more up, fix your feet). Do I feel like my traps and upper back suffocating the bench press and can I feel myself pushing against that part. Can I flex my glutes? My core? My arms? All at the same time before the weight is given to me? Once the weight lifts off, I use the anchor that the weight is now providing me, to arch even further by using my leg drive to test one last time, how my butt will move. Once I lock that in, I'm rock solid, and my entire focus is pushing the barbell away from me, as I'm rowing it towards my body. The moment you decide to press the weight off your chest, you should feel the power from your feet, push off, the wave continuing into your butt in a backwards motion, not a upwards motion, and using that momentum, you crush the barbell back to where it started. If you don't understand any of what I wrote, you can still get stronger, by getting better at each of these little parts of the bench, or strengthening each of these portions of the lift. #benchpress #burgers #powerlifting #usapl #hmong #teamironsupps #teamequippedexcellence #teamquest #lostbreed #strength (at Blueprint Burgers)
