Teaching Magic | David & Sofia
With a smile on his lips, David put the key to the small coffee shop he worked at back into the lock and turned it. He was well aware that the closing hours were unusual, but he would not complain. For him, it meant that he could get home early, have a beer and read a good book – as he had originally planned when he had met the raven haired girl that was now waiting to be let in. He had spoken to her before while in the shop, but only briefly, noting that she kind of seemed lost in the big city, eventhough it was a fairly small coffee shop that mostly students liked to visit during their spare time throughout the day. The Briton loved the people that came here, most of them were friendly and relaxed and they made it easy for him to interact with them.
The girl that entered the dark shop now was clearly not used to a lifestyle like this – she had trouble pronouncing the word ‘frappuccino’ –, the way she struggled with the seemingly new vocabulary acting as a sign to him. It was why he had proposed to show her how to make her own coffee; a little hesitant, he stepped aside, holding the door open for her (in many ways, his British heritage showed noticeably), then closing the door behind him again. He pushed the light switch, causing the shop to light up again. “Well, stranger, let me show you the magic of making coffee.” He extended his hand towards her. “I’m David.”
