Consider: the ruler of your antagonistic neighboring country kills your wife, triggering you to take revenge on him, which then prompts /his/ widow to send assassins after you, including a teenage girl. Following the attack, you are separated from your family for many years. Eventually, you are reunited with your family, including your dead wifeās firstborn. He married one of the assassins. They have a baby now. They named their firstborn after your dead wife.
Pov you are King Harrow of Katolis
The theory that the reason Kosmoās visions go dark not because he dies but because his eyes get torn out is interesting but also I can TOTALLY see āthe eye of a prophetā being an ingredient that Claudia needs for some Ancient or Dark Magic spell
Sho is devided from them another time, this time from a chainš¤
Claudia is hands down the single funniest character in the whole cast to keep bagging cute elves and hot dragons

Rayla and Motherhood, undermining or empowering?
So Iām assuming by now, the majority of the Dragon Prince fandom has watched the Dragon King Rayllum teaser. And based on a lot of responses Iāve been seeing across the fandom, Iāve been wanting to make my own post expressing my thoughts, both on Rayllum becoming parents as well as some of the responses Iāve seen (disclaimer: this is not an attack on anyone or differing opinions, this is just me expressing my opinion mainly on how certain things have been worded on multiple platforms).
So Iām going to be breaking this post down into multiple questions/reactions that Iāve seen and answer them individually with my own opinions on the matter and how I view them in terms of storytelling within the narrative.
i donāt think at all that itāll come up in TDK but itād be interesting if Callum and Ezran really fall out over Sarai II because one of them mentions termination
Callum: so what i should just tell Rayla to get rid of it!?
Ezran: maybe you should.
and they genuinely almost kill each other over it
Dang, I am behind in asks, Nonny
tragically behind
But, man, wouldn't that be an interesting concept to explore for Whump Week.
I'm not sure that I see Ezran as being so bold and unempathetic as to suggest something like termination, but, based on some of the comments from A&J, I could see him as being upset and resentful of the timing.
It would be interesting to see how such a scenario might affect the trio, actually. While Callum and Ezran do have a wonderful sibling relationship, the show hasn't shied away from showing them not just disagree, but fight.
I think it was a little easier to have sympathy and understanding when Callum lost his temper and lashed out at Ezran in S01E01. He was dealing with the assassination threat against their father, but Callum saying that Ezranās "lies" where why he had no friends was pretty ruthless. In that instance, Rayla was the one to intervene, telling Callum to back off.
Rayla's empathy and kindness was further emphasised in Moonless Night, when she saw Esmeray as not a monster, but a sad, lonely being in mourning.
While Rayla's compassion and kindness is honestly one of my favourite aspects of her personality, it's obvious not without limits.
Callum and Rayla both disagreed with Ezran on the subject of Runaan, and a baby, their baby, going to be an incredibly personal and emotive issue for them.
Callum and Rayla having a baby right as Aaravos is due to return is obviously crappy timing. I don't think it's wild to assume this was not planned on their part.
Ezran has shown that he is thoughtful and understanding, so he likely knows that, even if he might feel resentful of the timing.
It will be interesting to see Ezran's character development during the timeskip. What characteristics will he retain over that time. Given his age at the end of season 7, he's going to have likely changed the most during the timeskip and I'm excited to see where the show runners decide to take his character.
If Ezran reacts negatively to the news of Rayla's pregnancy, or hell, even if he's hesitant, I see that causing friction between him and Callum. Callum (and Rayla) is hardly going to be in the dark about how bad the timing is.
If Callum and Ezran do have a falling out of the pregnancy, I think it would be in-character for Rayla to, once again, be the voice of reason between them.
We all know Callum is the "I would do anything for you" guy, but sometimes that anything is taking a deep breath and seeing where your scared little brother is coming from.
So, yeah, I don't think canon is going to go majorly into every aspect of them falling out over Rayla's pregnancy, I do think there's basis for it and it would be interesting to see how it's explored.
Whump week though... that's where we can go all out. š
Ok but can we talk about how Callum is definitely going to have issues disciplining baby Sarai
Like I know Aaron talked about it in a more realistic sense of him being raised in a much gentler fashion so of course Rayla's level of impressing discipline on their kids is going to make her "the tough parent" of the two of them to some degree
But also all Rayla has to do is make sad eyes at him after ghosting him for Two Years, on his birthday, and he's like frick. dangit. I can't. ugh. I'm too mad to talk but I can't just walk away from her looking like that. Fine.
If Baby Sarai inherited even a little bit of her mama's Cute Eyes powers she's going to have her daddy wrapped around her little finger. She'll make a sad kitten face at him as a grown-ass woman and he'll still fold, he'll be an absolute pushover for her as an infant.
