Un truc dont j'avais pas parlé mais j'aime bien comment le trône d'Ezran est utilisé. Au début Soren le retrouve pour lui mais Ezran voit un souvenir de sa mère et de son père avant de revenir à la réalité. Et on pourrait croire qu'au début ça lui apporte une certaine stabilité. Mais quand il voit Runaan, il explose ne laissant que sa colère et sa haine s'exprimer. Là le trone est utilisé pour montrer qu'une distance se creuse entre Rayla, Callum et Soren.
Puis la scène où justement il récupère la lame de nova, j'avais comparé la lame à celle des contes de fée qui terrassent des dragons. Ou bien Excalibur, dans la légende d'Arthur, Excalibur est vu comme un symbole de légitimité en tant que roi. Dans la s7, on voit Ezran agir par rancoeur envers son frère qui l'a trahi selon lui. Se détournant de ses principes en créant ses flèches explosives pour protéger son royaume. Dans sa confrontation avec Aaravos bien qu'il a pu voir la tromperie de ce dernier. Il se fait avoir concernant la lame de Nova. Et pour Excalibur, il y a deux versions, la première c'est que la dame du lac lui donne Excalibur tandis que l'autre version est planté dans un rocher. Bien que de ce que j'ai lu, les deux versions de cette légende parle d'une épée différente.
Or Aaravos avant d'être piégé, était sorti de l'eau et c'est lui qui a donné l'indice à Ezran pour qu'il trouve la lame de Nova (aka la dame du lac). Et cette lame de Nova était gardé par la statue de la reine Orpheline (aka le rocher). Je sais pas si c'est fait exprès mais j'avoue que c'est un peu trop gros pour moi pour que ce soit un hasard.
En prenant la lame de nova, il devient le roi qu'il va devenir et celui qu'il est. Au début de la s7, Ezran était porté par la narration de peur mais avec la lame de nova, il est porté par la narration d'amour. Car il veut sauver Callum malgré leur conflit ne sachant pas que ça pourrait tous les condamner!
Something I hadn't mentioned, but I like how Ezran's throne is used. At first, Soren finds it for him, but Ezran sees a memory of his mother and father before coming back to reality. And you might think that at first, it gives him some stability. But when he sees Runaan, he explodes, leaving only his anger and hatred to express itself. Here, the throne is used to show that a distance is growing between Rayla, Callum, and Soren for what happen with Runaan.
Then the scene where he recovers Nova's blade, I compared the blade to the one in fairy tales that slay dragons. Or Excalibur, in the legend of Arthur, Excalibur is seen as a symbol of legitimacy as a king. In s7, we see Ezran acting out of resentment towards his brother who betrayed him according to him. Turning away from his principles by creating his explosive arrows to protect his kingdom. In his confrontation with Aaravos, although he could see his tricks. He is fooled regarding the Nova's blade. And for Excalibur, there are two versions of the legend, the first is that the lady of the lake gives him Excalibur while the other version is planted in a rock. But from what I've read it's seems that the blade from this two version are different.
Aaravos before being trapped, came out of the water and he gave the clue to Ezran to find the Nova's blade (aka lady of the lake). And this Nova blade was guarded by the statue of the Orphan Queen (aka the rock). I don't know if it's on purpose but I admit it's a bit too big for me to be a coincidence.
By taking the Nova Blade, he becomes the king he will become and who he is. At the beginning of season 7, Ezran was driven by the narrative of fear, but with the Nova Blade, he is driven by the narrative of love. Because he wants to save Callum despite their conflict not knowing it could doom them all!
