Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR): Advanced Stroke Prevention
Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability and death worldwide, and carotid artery disease is a major contributor to stroke risk. When plaque builds up inside the carotid arteries, it restricts blood flow to the brain and increases the likelihood of a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA).
