My only postcanon TAZ balance hc is that when Merle starts letting the rest of THB and co. start getting to know his kids, Mookie finds out he can Ragebaiting-my-grimreaper-pt.-24 on Kravitz and Kravitz has a genuinely heated onesided beef towards that 2nd grader. They leave Merle’s house after holidays and he’s complaining to Taako like “i canNOT stand Merle’s son. He needs to show some responsibility and PARENT his CHILD-” and Taako, who’s lowkey grossed out by Mookie but mostly just ignores him so he can poach Mavis for his magic school, is beginning to kinda sideeye him. and meanwhile back at Merle’s house, Mookie is like “DAD when can i wrestle mister Krabbitz again Dad!! Hes so funny DAD i wanna make him cry again!!!”

ok i get why taako and angus became the default post canon adoption dynamic but i still stand by it being WRONG that man is NOT a father in any way. it’s magnus and i will stand by that he mentions something about soccer practice and taako would be like lmao sucker im living the ideal DINK life i do what i want have fun with your 11 year old leech and then prestidigitate a crayon drawing of a dildo onto the floor . he’s like gossipy wine aunt at best .

it's so insane to me just how tragic Davenport is as a character considering his origins. Like you take a joke about him being a pokemon who can only say his own name and you turn that into a man who has suffered such a loss to his sense of self that the only part of his identity that remains is his name. How hard do you think Lucretia tried to find a place for him like she did with Taako, Merle, and Magnus only to find there was no hope of doing so, that she had destroyed him so thoroughly that the only thing she could do was keep him at her side as a horrible reminder of the effects of her plan

ok guys whatever you do dont think about merle on the mushroom planet giving hope to a hopeless people he'll never see again just because he wants them to feel strong. and staying with them as the hunger descends and DO NOT think about them singing as a congregation while merle promises them that no matter what happens theres gonna be a future for them because thats what faith is about DONT THINK ABOUT IT. DONT THINK ABOUT how he brought music to these people and how theyre saved by the church he built them and he refuses to leave them alone inside even as hes pulled aboard the starblaster by the universe and DO NOT. IN ANY FUCKING WAY. THINK ABOUT HOW he did all this knowing in a year it could have been for nothing and he didnt care because he just wanted to bring them hope, and its only because he chose to bring them hope regardless that it was not for nothing. DONT THINK ABOUT IT
