Héctor Fort x Reader
The first time it happened, Héctor didn’t think much of it.
It was after training at FC Barcelona’s facilities, when the players were slowly heading toward the parking lot. Some were still joking around, others scrolling through their phones.
Héctor was tying his hoodie around his waist when a familiar voice called out behind him.
“Hey, Fort!”
He turned and saw Yamal jogging toward him with that easy grin he always had.
“What?” Héctor asked.
Lamine slowed down beside him, slightly out of breath. “Did you see her today?”
Héctor blinked. “Who?”
Lamine gave him a look. “Your girlfriend.”
Héctor snorted lightly. “No.”
Lamine frowned dramatically. “Seriously? She didn’t answer my message.”
Héctor raised an eyebrow. “…Why are you messaging my girlfriend?”
Lamine shrugged like it was the most normal thing in the world. “Because she didn’t reply to me.”
That was the first time Héctor felt a tiny pinch of something strange in his chest. Not jealousy exactly. Just…confusion.
“Maybe she’s busy”. Héctor said simply.
“Tell her to answer”. Lamine replied casually.
Héctor laughed it off. “Tell her yourself.”
“I tried”. Then Lamine walked away like nothing had happened.
Héctor shook his head, smiling slightly.
His girlfriend and Lamine were friends, she had known him long before she started dating Héctor. They had met through mutual friends months ago and somehow became really close. She had that easy personality that made people comfortable quickly.
So it wasn’t weird. Right?

Except it kept happening. A lot.
A few days later, after another training session, Héctor was sitting in the locker room scrolling through his phone when someone dropped onto the bench beside him.
Lamine. “Fort.”
Héctor didn’t even look up. “What now?.”
“Where’s your girlfriend?”
Héctor slowly lifted his head. “…Why?”
Lamine leaned back casually. “She said she might come watch training today.”
Héctor frowned. “She didn’t tell me that.”
Lamine shrugged. “She told me yesterday.”
Now that…was weird.
Héctor stared at him. “You two talk a lot, huh?”
Yamal didn’t even notice the tone. “Yeah, she’s funny.”
Héctor huffed softly and shook his head, going back to his phone. Still…that little strange feeling returned.

A week later, it got worse.
Héctor’s phone rang while he was lying on the couch at home. The caller ID made him squint.
Lamine calling
He answered. “Yeah?”
“Bro.”
“…What.”
“Where’s your girlfriend?”
Héctor sat up slightly. “How would I know?”
“Because you’re her boyfriend.”
Héctor rubbed his forehead. “Why are you asking me?”
“She’s not answering her phone.”
Héctor blinked. “…So you called me?”
“Yes.”
The seriousness in Lamine’s voice made Héctor stare at the wall in disbelief. “Lamine,” he said slowly, “why are you trying to reach my girlfriend so badly?”
There was a short pause. “Because I sent her a meme and she didn’t see it yet.”
Héctor closed his eyes. “A meme?.”
“Yes.”
“And you couldn’t wait until she replied?”
“No.”
Héctor groaned. “You’re unbelievable, you stupid.”
“Just tell her to check her phone”. Then the call ended.
Héctor stared at his screen. That weird feeling in his chest was definitely jealousy now.
—-
Later that evening, she arrived at his apartment.
The moment Héctor opened the door, she smiled brightly and stepped inside, wrapping her arms around him. “Hello!.”
Héctor hugged her automatically, though his mind was still replaying the phone call from earlier. “Hey.”
She pulled back slightly, noticing the thoughtful look on his face. “What’s wrong my love?.”
He hesitated. Then asked casually, “…Did Lamine send you a meme today?”
She blinked. “…Yeah, how did you know?.”
Héctor crossed his arms. “And?”
“And what?”
“He called me because you didn’t answer him.”
Her eyes widened. “He did what?”
“He called me,” Héctor repeated, “to tell me to tell you to answer your phone.”
For a second she just stared. Then she burst into laughter.
Héctor did not laugh. “What’s so funny?” he asked.
“He’s ridiculous”, she said, still giggling.
Héctor tried to stay serious, but the way she laughed made it hard, he have a big soft spot for her almost a massive one.
Still the thought returned. “He asks about you a lot”. Héctor admitted.
She tilted her head. “Lamine?”
Héctor leaned against the counter, studying her face. “He looks for you more than he does look for me.”
Her expression softened instantly. “…Is that bothering you?”
Héctor looked away for a second. He wasn’t the dramatic type. He wasn’t the jealous, possessive type either. But still, “You’re my girlfriend”. he muttered quietly.
She stepped closer to him. “And?”
“And it’s weird when my teammate is the one asking about you every day.”
Her lips curved into a soft smile. “Are you jealous?”
“No.”
“Fort.”
He sighed. “…okay, maybe a little.”
She tried not to smile too widely. That tiny hint of jealousy from Héctor Fort was unexpectedly adorable.
He rubbed the back of his neck. “It’s just…every time I see him he asks where you are.”
She gently took his hand. “That’s because he’s my friend.”
“I know.”
She squeezed his fingers softly. “But you’re the one I come home to.”
That made him look up.
Her eyes were warm. “I talk to him,” she continued gently, “but you’re the one I miss.”
Héctor felt his chest loosen slightly. “…Then why does he call me about you?”
She laughed again. “Because he’s a dramatic kid.”
Héctor huffed. “Lamine asked me about you for a long time now, like everyday.”
“That sounds like him.”
They stood there quietly for a moment. Then Héctor pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist.
His voice was softer now. “I just don’t like sharing.”
Her heart fluttered. “Héctor Fort,” she teased quietly, “are you being possessive?”
He immediately shook his head. “No.”
She raised an eyebrow. “No?”
He whined softly against her neck, “…I have the right to, you’re mine.”
She leaned up and kissed his cheek. The simple gesture made warmth spread through his chest.
He tightened his arms around her slightly. “If Lamine asks me about you one more time I’ll be mad, for real this time.” he murmured against her skin.
She looked up at him. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach instantly. She nodded.
“Alright I’ll talk to him about being too clingy.”
Héctor smiled feeling all relieved now, he trust her on making him not feel the discomfort again, he held her jaw up and leaned to kiss her lips pouring all the emotions that was piling up in his heart, he loves her so much and maybe even adores her at this point.
And somewhere across the city, Lamine was probably still waiting for that meme reply.
