You were at school when he found it. He’s never seen a pregnancy test before, but the test said it all. One line, not pregnant. Two, pregnant. And on this plastic little test, there were two lines, and he finally got the picture in his head.
You were so happy to finally be home, away from the shithole they call school, you were happy to finally be in the arms of the boy you loved. Until you saw his wet face, with tears steaming down his face. “Tate? What’s the matter?”
You went to cup his face, but he stepped back, away from you, immediately regretting it at the hurt on your face, but he was hurt, you never told him. “What the hell is this?” In his hand he held the pregnancy test, the one you got a week prior, and the one you finally decided to use just yesterday. Your jaw clenched, tears welling up in your eyes.
Turning away from him, you stood in front of your window, staring at the children that played in their yard across the street. The smiles on their faces brought a small one to yours, and you placed a hand on your stomach subconsciously.
“Were you ever going to tell me?” You sucked in a breath, closing your eyes. “You’re pregnant.”
Turning around abrubtly, you stared at him, your hand still on your stomach. “Yes, Tate. I’m pregnant. And before you even begin to accuse me of things that I wouldn’t even think of doing, you are the only person I‘ve slept with.”
“You did take my virginity after all.”
Tate walked closer to you, cupping your cheek as he stared into your eyes, the beautiful color mesmerizing him like it always did. He rest his forehead on yours, and closed his eyes. “Your parents aren’t going to be happy, Y/N. You know that.”
You smiled at him, kissing his nose. “I don’t care. We’re having a baby, Tate. Our own baby. We can finally have a family.”
He smiled at you, tears slipping out of his eyes. “Family.”
