I read tarot and oracle cards and occasionally, I dabble in reading runes as well. I have a habit of doing readings for my co-workers. Well, recently my manager has been asking me to do various types of readings for her over the last 2 or 3 months. The last few readings I did for her were rune readings, I have a beautiful set of aventurine runes that I like to use. Anyway, now my manager is having marital problems AND she's pregnant, evidently these two events were vaguely spelled out over the different readings. Now my manager is accusing my runes of ruining her life. I try to explain that isn't how they work, but to no avail. What should I do?

Is it discussed in TMO or TSR, or in a future book? If its in TMO or TSR, im ok with spoilers...

Tarot card reading is a learned skill. You have to understand how the cards work, you have to know various spreads, you have to know the best way of giving advice to the person whom you’re giving the reading to and strive to be as accurate and clear as possible. It is a skill that some may choose not to acquire but rather choose to enlist the help of someone who does have this skill.
Tarot card reading may be taxing on the person who does it. It requires concentration on the reading and energy as well. Those who read tarot-- and/or use playing cards (cartomancy) have every right to charge for their services, especially if you are choosing to ask the help of someone who has a skill you do not have.
Your belief or moral compass or whatever does not matter in a situation where you expect a reading from someone who is skilled. You are asking for their time to help you with an issue. You are told that you will have to pay and you should respect that. If you do not want to pay, you either learn the skill yourself or you enlist the help of someone who generously does it free of charge.
If a taromancer needs to charge for their service as a extra source of revenue, respect that. You have no idea what this person might be going through. Even if the person has a line of work and just wants to make extra money, respect that. Again, you are the one that is enlisting the help of an experienced person that does divination work to help you with a matter. You treat these people with respect, and if you have a problem with your reading and feel it isn’t accurate, you dispute that in a respectful way with the person.
