second batch of warrior oc design commissions from February! A family of four :>

Inkpool, a daylight warrior and monarch of TimberClan, has vanished.

In the unusual absence of their overprotective mother, Eclipsekit, Tansykit, and Thunderkit are… coping. With varying degrees of success.

my doerunner / littleblossom and ruddyfur / featherflight biases are pretty solidly in place so i won’t go around trying to squeeze them into other ships considering i’m pretty sold on those two, but! tansykit and violetkit are free game.

for tansykit, i do like the idea of her and swanpaw together. they’re both obviously still super young and volatile, both of them hosting their own attitude issues, but i feel like they could actually end up as a pretty even match. swanpaw’s the sort of cat who won’t go entirely soft on tansykit, but i think she has just enough interest in her to garner tansykit’s interest in return eventually. i think a relationship between them would take a lot of work to be stable, but sue me, i’d totally love to see a bickering rivals to begrudging friends to eventual romance arc with them.

If you haven’t read the short story on Ao3, Tansykit is the son of Thrushpelt and a kittypet. She encourages him to take their son to join the clan, and Willowpelt nurses Tansykit, alongside her first kit Darkkit. The two grow up as brothers, with Willowpelt as a mother and Thrushpelt for a father (the two are NOT mates).

So, no, Darkstripe and Tansytail/Longtail aren’t the little shits they were in the first series (to some extent).
