im so so soft for them falling in love after thinking they hate each other. going to each other under the guise of frustration, but really, the bed is just too cold without you... i hate you -> i should hate you -> i need you -> id move heaven and earth to stay by your side

                       Wow, TaliaDick is a pairing I'd never thought of before, but it's an interesting thought, especially when you throw Damian into the mix... I don't suppose you have any fic recs for that? :D                    

tbh there aren’t many fic-recs I can give, mostly because there are nearly no fics about them that have them as the main pair or focus. And they definitely aren’t endgame. Their pairing dynamic is often explored so Damian can be Dick’s biological son. At least it seems that way to me.

“First Comes Love” by Zillabird is technically a JayDick fic, but the story heavily features TaliaDick, their issues with Bruce, and, of course, their parenting of Damian as well as the issues around keeping Damian’s true parentage hidden.

“It was Beauty...” by Averia is a pretty much me trying to figure out why I ship them, featuring Dick and Talia trying their best, and Damian not quite knowing what to make of their relationship.

“The Demons Within“ by Fuzzy_Logic is a fix-it fic for the current Ric arc that deals with Damian and Talia using the LoA’s experimental medical science to bring Dick’s memories back. They get sucked into Ra’s plans and have to find a way to survive. Fuzzy_Logic also wrote an OS about Dick & Talia “I See You Now“ that I am just going to claim is a sequel to “The Demons Within“. Because even if it isn’t stated as such, it definitely feels like it.

i think this would feel like such forbidden love to him, something to stifle and bury, a secret kept between him and the shower drain <3 he'd face her with the same ferocity as he would any other villain if the situation called for it, of course, but he'd have to avoid her in any other context. her role in his life is meant to be that of an enemy at worst and a rival for bruce's attention at best, not... affection. but god, how would her hand around his neck feel? her legs straddling his hips?

i like the thought that he assigns an internal stigma to his attraction to her, making it out in his head to be worse than it is. dick being able to bend over backwards to justify past shitty partners hes had, but for some reason trying to draw a line with talia. forcing himself to treat loving her as Wrong but gradually being forced to accept that he's only making excuses. there's nothing wrong with it, or at the very least, theres far less wrong with it than some of his other affairs.

what's the point in holding back? to avoid bruce's anger? it's a bit late for that. to shelter damian, perhaps? still, it's all just a series of flimsy self-imposed hurdles. i'd suppose even dick grayson can be allowed a subject of which summons cowardice. basically, he doesn't want to be rejected by someone he's been sexually frustrated over for years.
