dick announcing his pregnancy and his secret-until-that-point relationship with bruce to the other bats (without bruce there, because bruce is Too Awkward about it) and the bats immediately assuming that dick is asking them for help with getting an abortion

dick thought this would go better, considering how happy (in his repressed British way) alfred was when bruce told him. alas 😔 his robins are plotting ways for dick to safely leave bruce's nest

to me, dickie's unwavering unfaltering unfathomable loyalty to bruce is a horror movie

dick would hate it but truly almost the most Healing thing for him would be to be permanently sent back in time or to another world where he would for some reason have to be newly orphaned Bruce’s caretaker and guardian and dg would get to live out his weird possessive loving gushy fierce protectiveness over Bruce that he muffles into his pillows but from a place of power this time and Bruce would be soo loved and dg would boss him around sometimes and sort of grin about it and Bruce would not know why and that would make dg smile even more

DICK AND DAMIAN

thinking about that Gotham knights chapter where Dick tells Bruce (more or less) that he thinks Bruce might leave everything for the chance to be with his parents again but Dick wouldn’t change anything and how Dick probably thinks and is resigned to loving Bruce more than Bruce loves him and how he’s wrong about that. it’s not even that Bruce has, multiple times in canon, refused his parents to stay with his kids, it’s that Dick’s love is bright and proud and loud and Bruce’s love is quiet and guilty and scared. it presents as less but Bruce feels that love just as strongly and I don’t know if or how long Dick will be able to realize that before his own insecurities and Bruce’s quietness cover the knowledge again
