I have another question regarding wigs. Do you wash your's? If so what do you use? And if you don't mind answering a second question, do you have any advice to help synthetic wigs from getting a bit frizzy at the ends? (I have my first long haired wig and I've got no clue how to properly fully take care of it 100%. Thank you so much and sorry if you've answered this question a lot before.
I don't wash wigs often unless it's to re-style them.. in which case I fill my tub with cool water and lather shampoo between my hands then pat it gently onto the wig.. then a swish it around slowly, then rinse it off, using only cool water. (no heat unless it's human hair or hyperlon).. then I wrap it in a towel for a bit, then let it air dry on a wig stand (not a wig head, a wig stand is more like a rack and they're super cheap on ebay). Remember: Don't brush through a wig while it's wet!
I keep the ends of realllly long wigs in plastic bags (like the picture I posted with my Sailor Pluto wig) ...it keeps it nice while you're not wearing it, unfortunately, long synthetic wigs tend to always tangle while wearing them, there's not really a way around it. A lot of people braid it while they're storing it, but I don't like the slight wave it can leave in a straight wig.Ā
Also, pick up a soft bristle brush or a wig brush to brush your wigs with, it rips out less fibres!
whoo! hope that helps!
