Hey, I'm so sorry, but I am hoping you can help me out. I am writing a research paper, and while I have 5 academic and peer reviewed, I need 3 more articles. I don't think these last 3 need to be academic and peer reviewed, and I know it sounds whiny and stupid, but do you have any suggestions? I just can't tell you how sick I am of sifting through articles (3/4 of them having to due with asexuality in cells). Help, maybe, possible?
Oh man I definitely feel your pain there. First, are you using your search terms carefully? Searching âasexuality -bacteriaâ or âasexuality -plantsâ or similar will probably make the sifting a lot easier if youâre using Google. You might also try searching your institutionâs database, if youâre a university student, which should allow you to narrow your search by field. I think jstor has that option as well? But it has admittedly been a while since I used it last, so I could be wrong.
I know I have posted a few things in our resources tag before, so there may be stuff there that you havenât used already. If it does not need to be peer reviewed, Huffington Post did a series of articles on asexuality a while back, and the Asexuality Archive has a ton of material. I know I have more resources than that bookmarked on my laptop though, so expect an update to this post when I get home tonight.
EDITS: These posts specifically from our resources tag deal with scholarly or otherwise non-Asexuality 101 articles: x x x And here are some things I found kicking around in my bookmarks that you may find useful: x x x (I also found this paper which deals specifically with the issues faced by asexual POC - from what I remember, it deals specifically with racism against black people, but I have not finished reading it yet.)
