Y'all know I love me a good "challenge"!
I found this tiny notebook in my drawers and thought it's perfect for another motivational project that makes me draw more regularly. I'm not going to do this on a strictly daily basis but I'll do my best to fill a page as often as I can without stressing.I'm not really doing New Year's Resolutions in that sense but one general concept I really want to work on this year is self-care and being less neglectful with my physical and mental health. So I'm gonna fill this book (and possibly mini-zine to be ;) ) with little reminders or mantras/affirmations if you will.Β
I hope this will inspire you to take care of yourself too - and maybe work out your own patterns and beliefs you want to pay more attention to.π
PS: All of these will be available for my dear Patreon supporters (including a PDF collection once it's all done), and half of them will be public for everyone to see.
To-do lists help me a lot because by writing things down my neurotic brain is relieved of the burden of eternally circling around all the things I have to do forever and ever ("so I don't forget"). But! I also tend to often end up with unrealistically long lists written into my planner for a particular day... which is less good.
I've recently started to put numbers next to my to-dos ranking them by priority, so at the end of the day, even if I didn't complete everything, I can feel a better because at least I did the most important/urgent things and can reschedule the rest (or *gasp* even drop some if they weren't essential in the first place).
How do you handle your tasks? Excessive to-do lists - yay or nay? :D
I'm a perfectionist. I want to do my best 100% of the time, always. But I'm increasingly learning that not all of the things are worth my 100%. Nobody got unlimited fucks to give, so make sure to give 'em for the stuff that truly matters to you.
Time to pick this project up again I'd say...

Not much to add to this, actually.
It's a really annoying, hard-to-get-rid-of habit (guess that goes not only but especially for female socialized humans).
