Karen Gillan met: Steel City Con, Pittsburgh, PA on: August 7, 2026 I've met Karen Gillan once, when my bestie was obtaining her autograph years ago (before she joined the MCU), and I have an autograph I purchased myself recently third party. She also wasn't supposed to be at Steel City until Saturday, and I was only going on Friday. But when it was announced she would be there for the last two hours on Friday, I couldn't resist. I loved her in the Jumanji movies which was a good enough excuse, and she's SO nice and SO pretty and my gosh I could listen to her accent all day. Zero regrets!!
okay okay walk with me as i jumanjipost once again. spoilers for a 31 year old movie btw.
the ending is downright upsetting because while it may SEEM nice that everyone is together and alan's parents along with judy and peter's parents are alive, it's just that, well... alan and sarah lived two whole lifetimes.
okay alan is 12 in 1969 and then spends 26 years in the jungle, so now he's 38. but THEN, he goes back in time to 1969, having remembered his 26 years of living in the jungle and then the events of the movie. so it's basically like he's lived 64 whole years. the same is also true for sarah, ofc, but she's a year older so it's like she lived 65 years.
also time travel and alternate universes in general make my head hurt so that's REALLY not helping matters.
Deborah recommends "Jumanji" as a movie to watch to get into DnD
